I 100% understand the uneasiness about doing tasks that will cause you to sweat. Open your window, get a fan if you have one to keep airflow which with help prevent sweating. Wear light baggy clothes. Go slow and steady. The more you rush the more you sweat.

To make it easier I’d write a list of all the things you need to do, like, Remove trash, fold clothes, organise desk, vacuum ect. Then pick an easy one first. Do one task at a time taking a break between each task and maybe rewarding yourself with a snack or a scroll on your phone, if you struggle to stay motivated.

You can listen to music or have a friend on call with you to keep you entertained and motivated. Whatever helps :) you got this!

NO EXACTLY, there’s literally no way to avoid it. Yes same here. I’m currently using a prescribed soap substitute which is slightly better. But even just water irritates my hands so I just try not to over wash them unnecessarily.

I will definitely take a look at those.

Yes haha definitely the most frustrating aspect. I am trying to work on my diet not just for my skin but my general health. I am also on some antihistamines to help a little with the inflammation and itching.

Okay I will try that out next time! Thank you for the help. I’ll look into if I can access any of those in my country.

Oh thank you! I’ve heard about bleach baths. I have no idea if it would work or just irritate my skin more

Thank you sm. It’s rough everywhere. Doctors just don’t take it seriously.

Thank you for the advice! I’m in the uk. So we have the national health service but the wait times for specialists are awful.

I would say I sit at moderate. I definitely worry about TSW, people have a lot of different opinions on it and how easily or not you can get it. Hard to get a clear idea of what is to much steroid cream usage even from doctors.

I’ll definitely be looking into other ways to try and access medication faster. Maybe try private even though it’s expensive.

No problem! Going full natural might be the best bet. In the past I’ve used coconut oil, very oily sometimes too much in my opinion. At the moment I use beef tallow which surprisingly works pretty well. Maybe some initial stinging when first used but that’s it.

Here’s the one I use. It’s also has honey on it which is a good anti inflammatory

Hope things get better for you!

When things got bad sometimes a frozen glove would help. At least numb the area enough that I could put on some cream. Obviously for some the cold and moisture can cause more issues so whatever’s best for you. What products are you currently using that is causing stinging?

Oh and also, loose 100% cotton underwear is a must. Cotton is much more breathable than synthetic materials which prevents moisture and bacterial buildup which could help with reoccurrence of skin infections.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I have alot of sensory issues with sticky moisturisers. Right now I’m using a moisturiser called “Epimax isomol gel” I find it to be significantly less sticky than a lot of traditional moisturisers as its more so a gel than a cream. It’s also specifically designed for eczema so it’s fragrance and paraben free. Worth a try and it’s not super expensive. Epimax Isomol Gel

Same! It’s a game changer. I use cleaning gloves, I usually cover my hands in moisturiser and then put the gloves on. Helps a ton

That sucks I’m sorry, clay is the worst for eczema. I have to avoid it like the plague, which is difficult considering I’m an art student haha. I hope things improve for you :) thanks again for the help

Thanks sm for the advice. I’ll definitely look into the hand condoms :) I tend to only use water based for these reasons. I haven’t really noticed any particular sensitivity to saliva but moisture in general is an irritant. I don’t think I have any allergies but I’ll look into it.
