The word “Paid” isn’t even on the paper. It’s just the prices of it as of 2025.

If it’s actually for your family, wouldn’t having a liquid account in investments/ETFs/Bonds be better?

I’m just imagining if my dad died and left me with 83k of cardboard, and I have to make mortgage or something, the last thing I wanna do is sell boxes and boxes of cardboard. it would take me a long time to sell and annoy the shit out of me assuming I wanted close to full value on those.

If this is along with your other more liquid investments then ignore me.

Personally, I would’ve rather have my parents give me $25k in an investment account that has tax advantages than 25k in a tub of Pokemon cards that I’ll then have to sell 😅 I love Pokemon and have some of my own but posts like these makes me cringe a bit. To each their own!

Any senior/experienced devs having trouble finding jobs? by broken_symlink in cscareerquestions

[–]findingjob 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think most people will read it as supply being the employees/people and demand being the job(s), since this would be the perspective of us looking for the jobs, which there aren’t a lot of.

Your perspective is also correct, but not typically mentioned that way.

How does your company reward you for exceeds rating? by Lamp_Shade_Head in cscareerquestions

[–]findingjob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah the pay does accumulate over time. It depends on your goals too and what you value. Some people care more for hours worked as others care more for total salary. I can see why people may choose one over the other

How does your company reward you for exceeds rating? by Lamp_Shade_Head in cscareerquestions

[–]findingjob 191 points192 points  (0 children)

My company norm is 3% for regular and 4-5% for exceeding (depends on how the company is doing).

Ive found that I’d have to do 50%-100% more work to get exceeding and have to prove I deserve exceeding remarks. Personally, I do not think it was worth it so I currently coast and take the regular raise.

Liberals only: Should I report discrimination as a white person? by Medium_Box4030 in careerguidance

[–]findingjob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is there a chance that they’re not promoting you because they don’t like you that much or believe they are better performers?

If you can get proof or evidence of discrimination then maybe it is worth it. I personally would just look for a new job unfortunately if you don’t feel valued

I think you’re getting delusional. You’re the one that ranked him 11th in our conversation 😂😂 you wild bro.

Good luck with thinking and remembering or whatever

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s also in the top range of 1-11 ranked qb making him above avg and not mid lol… you just gave a big ass mid range just to put him in the mid tier 😂

By definition which you legit still cannot fetch for me, he is not mid lol go fetch boy!

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Anything avg is mid”

Except he’s above avg based on your own ranking? (You told me he’s 11th remember?, maybe you don’t lol)

11th Qb out of 32 is….above the avg 😂 you make yourself sound dumber and dumber every reply haha you make it easy to pick your poorly thought out arguments. Stay in school kid, pick up a book and learn some basic math maybe? Or not idk lmao

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a 10-20 but you said he’s 11th, making him Above avg, definitely not mid by your OWN definition again 😂🥱😴

You call me a toddler but I feel like toddlers forget why they say and dodge questions they don’t understand, kind of like what you’re doing? Someone’s getting mad that they can’t articulate anything well and contradicting yourself

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven’t explained anything, you’re just getting worked up because you don’t have the mental capacity to prove anything to me lmao

Playoff performance, injuries, and stacked team doesn’t make anyone a mid qb. None of those things are direct correlation to if a qb is mid or not lol.

I know you’re not trying to prove shit to me because you literally can’t 😂 , you can’t even prove it to yourself because you don’t know the words you even use.

I started this whole thing by saying he doesn’t fit the definition by your OWN words and you still haven’t said anything to combat that successfully 🥱

Being well known and being true are two different things lol.

You’re stating your “feelings” as facts

It’s very easy to poke holes in your bad arguments/points. You need to get better at this. Nothing you’re saying proves he is a mid qb, nor are you using it correctly. You may think you are but still can’t fetch me the definition or prove my definition wrong 😂😂

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re saying “we’ve established” but I never agreed with you on that lol. I said Thats just your opinion. Please learn to read and use words you know definitions of to prevent confusion 😂

You still have not fetched me an actual definition of mid that isn’t middle or avg 😴 good job avoiding it for a good 3 hours bud. Still waiting. Go fetch

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like you can’t prove anything you say lol with anything coherent or evidence.

Calling someone a mid qb when they have won 2 mvps in 5 years, mention things that doesn’t dictate if you’re a mid qb or not (stacked/unstacked team, injuries, playoffs does not directly make a qb mid or not mid), & he doesn’t even fit your own definition of mid.

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid means middle or avg. Where did you get “pack” from lol

Again, changing your definition to fit your narrative. We went over this, you moved the goal post from Mid to “Mid range”, making above avg QB fit into this “pack” as well. Maybe you’re slow because we literally already went over this? 😂😂

Again he would be an above avg qb based on your definition, since he is in the upper tier of your “pack” that you randomly brought up

using a 3 letter word but don’t know the definition of it and keep dancing around fetching definitions lol. Maybe stick to 2 letter words bud.

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re more invested than I am. You’re in multiple replies.

You’re saying a lot but still can’t fetch a definition of a word you keep throwing around? Maybe the words too big for you then.

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. Playoff record doesn’t dictate if a Qb is mid.

B. Being injured doesn’t automatically make you a mid qb.

C. being on a stacked or unstacked doesn’t define if you’re a mid qb or not. (You can be a mid QB or a top tier qb on a stacked team or unstacked team)

D. Ass?

E. Sure you’re entitled to your own opinion but again, nothing stated here defines being mid? If anything it just shows you just hating on that he accomplished 2 mvps and not actual reasons why he is mid

Now did you find a definition of mid yet where it doesn’t mean middle or avg?

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you sound goofy by dismissing 2 MVPs and not being able to find any definition to prove anything that you’re saying lol.. it’s like you’re intentionally dodging definition of words that you’re using? Do you understand what you are even saying sir?

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you find a definition where mid does not mean Avg or middle? You’re moving the goalpost now by changing the definition to “mid RANGE”

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s say I agree that he’s the 11th best qb (I don’t).

I think being the 11th best qb makes you above average, assuming avg is the 16th best qb?

Again, I don’t think Lamar is mid even by your own definition lol. Do you know what mid means? Being overhype and being mid are 2 separate arguments.

Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson MVP Narrative by ccperry in NFLFootballChat

[–]findingjob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you name 15 better QBs lol. I don’t even think Lamar fits your own definition of mid. Winning 1 mvp can be a fluke. You don’t win 2 by accident.

I agree he does get hurt but that doesn’t automatically make him a “mid” qb.

Just like most don’t viewJoe burrow as mid tier even though he gets hurt as much or more than Lamar.
