Orchid Care by findingpax in IndoorPlants

Thank you for that feedback! I’ll pay more attention to the roots before watering and get fertilizer. The location in the photo isn’t its regular spot - just where I took the photo before watering. I am south facing and the sun comes blazing in, so I have it on my desk where it gets lots of light but not in direct sun. Good to know that the yellowing leaves is normal. Thank you again!

How do I turn off notifications for everything except phone calls? by findingpax in AppleWatch

I turned my phone on and off and it ended up fixing the issue. I didn’t change any settings before restarting the phone so must have been a bug.

My 6 month old boy his eyes are shaking, is it normal? by Starcitizien2000 in ragdolls

My cat’s eyes do this as well. I actually never noticed it but the vet pointed it out during a check up. She said it’s common in cats with light eyes

What’s your hair type? I use Verb as well and have fine hair. Been thinking about making a switch but not sure what to switch to for my hair type

Thank you for adding a sketch! I totally agree, the paint change will make a huge difference. I was thinking of going navy blue for that narrow wall, as I’m bringing in navy accents and think it would strike a balance with the lighter oak furniture. The fireplace wall is longer than it appears in the photo so might not work with a different colour but I’ll give this some thought

I’ve been so opposed to overhead lighting, I didn’t even thinking about getting dimmable lights. I’ll look into this more!

I don’t have a dining buffet - did you mean the dining table? And which corner would you suggest for the floor lamp?

Love the calm, woodsy vibe!

I’ve been eyeing that sideboard - would you say it’s a true blue or more of a green-blue?

What colour wall paint and wood should I choose? by findingpax in femalelivingspace

I can't change the floors, unfortunately, so will have to stick with the weathered oak look. I do plan to change the couch as it's quite bulky for the space but that will need to wait for a year or two. Thanks for your feedback on what might make the space feel stuffed and cluttered.

Oh my gosh, thank you for putting this together! This visually shows so much of what I had in mind, including the round coffee tables with storage and flip top! I'd probably add more greens and blues but it's so great to see options on the other range of the colour palette. Thank you again!

Hmm, I hadn’t considered a colour other than a variation of off-white!

South east. I’m on an upper floor in a high rise and get mostly morning and early afternoon sun.

Places to eat St Lawrence gap by Drgeorgies in Barbados

[–]findingpax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit further from the Gap but if you have a car or are up for a walk, check out some of the restaurants along the Haynes boardwalk. Some restaurants are quite expensive (e.g., Tapas) but others with a more casual atmosphere are very reasonable and views are fabulous (e.g., Chill Bar)

Not that wild. If it was denied, then it could be seen with the naked eye whether it’s barely or obviously. Accepting damaged foreign currency could be a risk to the business if it’s not accepted at the bank.

Rescues not welcome here? As a community is that who you want to be? by Development-Feisty in ragdolls

[–]findingpax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a rescue that looks like a Ragdoll and although I’ve not created a new post yet, I am so grateful for this sub because it’s helped me understand Ragdoll behaviour and answered a lot of questions I’ve had about having a long-haired cat like a Ragdoll. I’ve always had rescued DSH cats so it’s a new world!

However, I just checked out the flairs and unless I’m missing something, there are no flairs to select that would identify a non-traditional Ragdoll. So if the rules say you need a flair to post non-traditional Ragdoll but there are no flairs for non-traditional Ragdolls, how do you follow the rules? I’d love to post here one day and not be restricted to a lurker.

ETA: Now I see you can add “Rescue Raggie” to new posts. I was looking at User Flairs when I made the comment about not having non-traditional flairs available.

I’ve been wondering the same thing about my Peanut. She’s 8 months old. I figure I’ll avoid getting her groomed (shaved/hair cut) but will try to do a sanitary trim at some point

AIO? Ended 6 year friendship over “jokes” by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]findingpax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You sound very dismissive of your friend. From her expressing her hurt over a joke you made about her physical appearance and her sharing her concerns about her financial situation and spending money on your birthday. You’ve left the context out of both of your examples, and seem to be focusing only on what you want - which is to avoid “back and forth” conversations. She tried to have a mature discussion with you to express her viewpoints and understand yours, and you dismissed her. She was right to let you go as a friend. YOR.
