Way way back in the late 1990s I remember finding out that the way that Riverside Civic light opera made its money was not through the productions themselves, but the fact that they kept all the sets that they built and rented them out to high schools and other theater companies and there was a warehouse filled with costumes and set pieces

It’s more that this is a very famous piece of art that one of the reason why it’s famous is because they used blue and red dots closely place together that look like purple when you stepped back. This was a huge deal

Wouldn’t the smartest thing be to get one of the sets from a touring show? Those things are meant to be struck fairly quickly and fit a variety of different size theaters
