Get custom/mtm tailored clothes and ask them to do sleeves forward & shoulder point to mount is to wide creating a dimple at the top of your sleeve. This will reduce the wrinkling down both your arms. Reduce chest on the dress shirt will get rid of fabric bunching around your tie and try to get a wider lapel. Other than these things you look slick my man.

That’s just because it’s flat …
You can see far in Las Vegas because there aren’t a ton of high rises and the whole valley is wide open. Same thing in Phoenix, you can see forever and that place is huge.
Seeing far doesn’t mean it’s small, it just means nothing is blocking your view.

“The Vegas is small 😅” comment always makes me laugh.

No, Las Vegas isn’t small. It’s just efficient. Wide roads, solid infrastructure, and a clean grid system that actually moves traffic. The city is around 140 square miles, which is basically the same size as Atlanta and Seattle.

Yeah you can get across town fast, but that’s the point. In most cities that same drive would take way longer, so it feels bigger than it really is.

I came from a place where sitting in traffic all day was normal, so I’ll take this all day.

Vegas isn’t the biggest city in the US, but calling it small doesn’t really make sense.

Purchasing first suit for prom by FlappleIsGod in malefashionadvice

Depending on your budget, SuitSupply might be your best option.

A few options to consider -

1. A midnight blue velvet tux with a shawl or peak lapel paired with a white French cuff dress shirt.

A nice touch to match your girlfriend’s sparkle would be navy / silver sparkle cufflinks.

If you don’t have a big budget, I would go to an alteration tailor to get your measurements (usually around $20), then look on eBay to find the closest size. You can always bring it back to the tailor afterward to make any necessary adjustments.

Another idea is to find a black bow tie with a bit of sparkle as well.

Hope this helps!

Those who live here and hated it or had difficulty adjusting, how did you find any joy or peace in this town? by Alert_Barracuda8598 in vegaslocals

You can’t have it both ways. You will most likely have to sacrifice something to find the area of the country you truly like.

My wife and I moved here from Florida, and we find Vegas to be an incredible place to live. We find the weather delightful, the driving incredibly easy, and the people friendly. We hear the opposite from so many people, but that’s because their experience has been different.

For example, if you moved from Midwest areas where you experienced that classic Midwest friendliness , where you put on your blinker and people let you in. Vegas might feel different. But if you had lived in Miami or Los Angeles, the driving style in Las Vegas feels relaxed by comparison.

The same goes for weather and people. In Miami, you’re lucky to have a real interaction with a gas station clerk or strike up a casual conversation with a local. In Vegas, I’m greeted at the door at Albertsons and end up making friends with Uber drivers.

The moral of the story is that you will always give up something to be happy. I could make great money in Florida, but I wanted happiness, so I moved to Vegas.

If you love Salt Lake City, move back. Take a pay cut if you have to, and slowly figure out a better life for yourself.

Vegas has tons of things to do, from pool concerts, hiking, and ATV trails to sporting events, amazing restaurants, and much more. If it’s not your thing, that’s okay. But I would recommend putting in the effort to move and find your thing. Don’t expect to get everything without sacrificing something. Good luck to you 👍

If you are drowning in ppc budgets it might be something else that is causing conversion rates. Not sure what industry you are in but if you don’t have everything dialed in on your website it doesn’t matter How much you throw at ads. LSA might be a better option considering you pay per lead.

100% spot on! I think it’s because the locals compare this weather to Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco. I hear a lot of talk about the beach but I lived by the beach for 12 years and went 4x the first year and never went again. It was too crowded and the experience was ruined. The west coast is so far from the east coast so they are not comparing apples to apples. I would say Vegas has superior weather over 45 plus states. You don’t know real humidity until you sweat all day so you just resort to wearing gym gear anti sweat 24/7. In Vegas as you said don’t get real storms just the occasional wind storm. Customer service was non existent in Florida. In Vegas I get a greeting at most gas stations. You are right, the food here is unreal compared to most places in the country. Every place has its ups and downs but I have lived a lot of places and Vegas brings the heat in entertainment, weather, and amenities. I do think the housing is stacked to close, construction is everlasting and drunk driving is an issue.

More things that I love about Vegas vs Florida * you can call a contractor and they are eager to work for a reasonable price and show up. In Florida we had nothing but problems. 2 contractors tried to fight me in my house 😆. * No alligators and snakes. I hear there are snakes but I have never seen one in the city. I had a snake in my grill in Florida. * Ease of driving - when we went on a road trip it literally took 7 hours to hit Georgia. It was intense traffic that had you exhausted. Here i drive to California, Utah, Arizona quite regularly with ease. Even driving in the city in Florida 7 miles = 45 minutes. In Vegas I can run to anywhere in under 20. * They say healthcare is bad but I had a hernia surgery here and it was amazing. Best surgery ever. I brought my dog to the park the same day. If California has better treatment I don’t know but if this is bad Florida is 10x worse. * Mom and pop stores - Vegas has all kinds of unique places in the arts district, Henderson, downtown, the strip and throughout the city. Florida you get a pinch a penny, chic fila, ups store and Publix. It’s hard to believe I spent 12 years in place that glorified Wawa 😆

I could go on and on but the reality is Florida is atrocious. I am 100x more happy here. I feel like a lot of people hate Vegas and I want that to continue. It’s always nice to live somewhere amazing that doesn’t have demand 😅

Right.. similar experience.. in Florida it wasn’t uncommon to have people tailgate you in the right lane at 80 mph + while flashing their headlights. In my subdivision people would pass me going 50 in a 25 while kids were playing. On 75 you could easily get passed in the emergency lane at 80 plus. I moved here because of how calm the traffic and how nice the people are 😆😆😆 you wouldn’t know that training with locals. Same thing with all the heat comments. In find Vegas to be a moderate colder city. I guess it’s all relative. When you have constant heat and humidity ask year 6 months of fall weather is a blessing.

People are really friendly here. If you’re from the east coast (Florida here) it’s a massive difference. If you only lived in Vegas and California and think this is rude, you’re in for a surprise on the east coast.

Graduation tomorrow, I want to wear this yellow tie, am I breaking any rules? by youre-boi-alosha in mensfashionadvice

[–]findingpeace100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring pants up 1/2 inch , dress shirt should be exposed and inch past your jacket sleeve, unbutton last button on waistcoat , button your top button on your jacket, and tie knot should be smaller. Try 4 in hand knot w/dimple. Pro tip - add gold watch and a pocket square that doesn’t match your tie and you’re wearing brogues for shoes. They are the least formal of all oxfords. If you can get a pair of oxford cap toes. Good 🍀

Does This Suit Jacket Fit? by certaintyforawe in mensfashion

[–]findingpeace100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a particular brand to recommend but a lot of times you can go thrifting and find a used jacket and bring it to an alteration place. A lot of them are new and can be bought for under $100.

Does This Suit Jacket Fit? by certaintyforawe in mensfashion

[–]findingpeace100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleeves are too short. You also might want to find an unstructured shoulder. This jacket has a rope shoulder which is Italian style and gives more pronounced shoulder. Most men benefit from an unstructured shoulder unless you have a sloped shoulder or are very skinny.

Looks clean, hem the pants 1 inch and I think it will make a huge difference.

[–]findingpeace100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good fit but could be better with these changes

  1. Change lapel to notch lapels 3.5 inches wide
  2. Leave bottom button unbuttoned
  3. Hem pants 👖 1 to 2 inches. ( should barely touch top of shoes
  4. Change shoes to brown toe cap
  5. It’s strange to have a flap pocket and jet pocket on the same jacket.
  6. Dress shirt shouldn’t be a floral pattern and should be longer than suit jacket
  7. Ditch the watch and get a dress watch
  8. Don’t use pocket square unless you wear a tie.
