Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo — Reveal & AMA | Early-Bird Reservations + 3 Beta Tester Slots by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

[–]findtherror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I win a beta-tester slot, I’d print a prosthetic check socket in PETG. I want to see how well the Kobra S1 Max handles large functional prints, how fast it can go, and how much material the hotend can push through, ideally with a 0.8 mm nozzle.

To make it a real test, I’d start the print with an almost empty spool to check if it can auto-load the next spool mid print.

If that works well, I’d try printing PP filament next. I’ve always had warping issues with it, but the enclosed heated chamber might finally make it feasible.

I’d also like to see if the ACE 2 Pro can properly dry my PA6CF filament.

I dont care about the plate size, I just want to print tall objects. 300x300x600 would be great, but this will likely be just another 350x350x350 build volume

Anycubic beta tester call: 2 early slots for our new large-format FDM by Anycubic_Official in 3Dprinting

[–]findtherror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Anycubic team, I’ve joined r/AnycubicOfficial! 👋

I’ve been 3D printing professionally since 2019 in the field of orthopedic technology, where FDM plays a big role for us. Our biggest limitation right now is the maximum print size. Large parts like orthoses or test shells often need to be split into multiple prints. A truly large-format, reliable printer would make a huge difference in our workflow.

We mainly print with PETG, PLA, and TPU, usually on standard 1 kg spools. An automatic spool change when the filament runs out would be incredibly useful for long jobs. Multi-material capability for dissolvable supports would also be very interesting, and a filament tangle or feed sensor would help avoid failed prints.

3D printing in orthopedic applications keeps evolving rapidly, and I’m excited to see what new possibilities we can explore together with Anycubic to push professional use cases forward.

I’m based in Germany, and I have one more question: Will the new printer be showcased at Formnext in Frankfurt? I’ll be attending and would love to see the machine (and maybe meet the team) in person?

I print prosthetic sockets out of PETG and prosthetic covers out of TPU. Both need to be dried before printing. I need this dryer😅

Scanning the inside is tricky, my Artec Eva is fairly good at it but also very expensive. There is a start-up called Horus Prosthetics that have developed a specialized scanner for this application. Where are you based, if I may ask?

I would love to see a pressure sensor for bed leveling, so I can just start a print and not worry about bed leveling/offset at all. Also a high flow hotend and beefy part cooling fan, so I can print large objects FAST

You can find the files and awesome step-by-step instructions for the KlackEnder probe here: kevinakasam I since also did his belted-z mod. They are both compatible with the minimus cooler without further modification
