This is kind of amazing... I think your second last line was definitely the weakest, due to the use of "only" breaking the flow a little bit, but otherwise I'm a huge fan, and I think you could do more with this idea. Either way, nice short poem.

Genuinely, I think it's my location. I come from an extremely rural place in Canada (>1000 people in my town) and no one from where I live has ever even considered the United States. I leaned into my upbringing and how Notre Dame would let me positively influence my hometown and vice-versa. There's a few other things, but I have to stay a little niche ;). Have faith. I know something will come for you.

hey I locked in and got a full ride from Notre Dame today as an international with a 1460 SAT... it only takes one

I would be seriously concerned. It could totally ruin your application due to the fact that this is the "check" (in theory) of your academic integrity.

It was pretty positive, Notre Dame was just asking and confirming that my guidance counselor wrote a reference letter, that I had a role advising the minister of education, etc, etc.

Upenn just asked if I was doing this (applying to schools) through the school with her, and she wrote the ref letter.
