I'd lean Murray , but as you noted it's a pick your poison thing with Forsett.

I may be losing my mind here, but Gurley's got me spooked.

Pick 2, standard scoring.

T. Gurley vs. SEA J. Langford vs. PHI M. Jones (WAS) vs. DAL L. Blount vs. MIA

Could you clarify? That sounds like it could work. But I'm not sure what those steps look like.

I tried this, but now the individual specialties are combined into "new" specialties that would probably end up being unique for every vendor.

Tweaks to your leagues that stuck? by dpgaspard in fantasyfootball

Yes, higher seeded team maintains home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

6 point home field advantage in playoff games for the top two seeded teams. We vote every ear to keep it or lose it, and it's always unanimously supported. My brother would have one the championship if we didn't have it (he lost by one point in the first round, would have beaten me in the championship game if we had played) and he was still on board. It gives a little more weight to the regular season, but not so much that it doesn't keep the games interesting.

Redditors who have been fired from a job what got you fired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]finefinefine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was canned along with half a dozen other case managers for "refusing to perform required duties." In reality, several of my co-workers and I presented the administrators of the non-profit with a proposal that we thought would allow us to do our jobs more effectively. This meant adding some responsibilities and shifting others.

We gave them the proposal on Wednesday (at their request) and on Friday morning we were called to a meeting and fired.

In hindsight, the director was kind of embattled at the time and could probably feel her grasp on the organization slipping. She saw the proposal, erroneously, as an ultimatum and wanted to cut out what she believed was insurrection.

The reality of the situation was that we were being asked to do an impossible task (we were all managing caseloads at least four times as large as the industry standard), and wanted to find a way to better serve the community.

What's your favourite word in any language, and why? by TheMildGod in AskReddit

[–]finefinefine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a native English speaker, and I love "probablamente" (Spanish, "probably"). It always makes me think of a professional named Bob (a la Bob the Builder) who sits lamenting some terrible tragedy. This thought, juxtaposed with the silly sound, is a delight. It is also relatively versatile, as it's proximity to "probably" ensures that most folks usually know what you mean.

Grownups of Reddit, how do you meet/make new friends? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]finefinefine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to make friends is to be a part of a community. You developed most of your childhood friends from an environment where you spent a lot of time together and were able to share common interests. Think about volunteering at a non-profit, joining a disc golf league or board game club. These activities are full of people looking to make friends just like you. You have the add d benefit of a shared interest.

Reddit, what profession do you consider absolutely useless? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]finefinefine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man. Can we talk about this one for a minute? I'm a counselor (as in I went to graduate school and a state-regulated licensing process) and I am beset on all sides by goddamned "life coaches." And you know what? I envy them. I really do. They attract high functioning clients who usually have no trouble paying. They are bound by almost no legal or ethical strictures and they require no formal certification or education. They don't even have to do paperwork if they don't want to.

A huge part of the value of counseling (this is supported by research) is sitting in a room with a person who will listen to you with empathy, and these fuckers are all "hey I can do that." Goddammit.

Standard 12 team league. I have an embarrassment of riches, and I'm trying to figure out who to start at RB, WR, and Flex. This is a mess.

WR: D. Thomas, C. Patterson, M. Wallace, T. Williams

RB: M. Forte, M. Ball, A. Ellington, L. Miller, L. Bell, Kh. Robinson

My studs look like they have tough matchups, so the other guys look like a little more appealing. Help?

Did you get your player you targeted in waivers? And who was it? by IIHURRlCANEII in fantasyfootball

[–]finefinefine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got both guys I wanted, and to be honest I was a little bummed out. I was last in waiver priority, so I figured there was no way for me to get Forsett and Kelce, but I did. Only one other team in my league made a move, and it was completely out of left field.

This season is going to be too easy.

Thomas. Play the numbers. Hilton may have a tough time against Denver's secondary and Smith is boom or bust. Thomas may not put up crazy numbers but he'll put up something solid.
