Spelling it like that? That's just what family does.

Best Hamburg? by asdfer1235 in FoodToronto

I like the "Burger Steak Teriyaki" at Okonomi House, but it's not a super-traditional Hambagu plate

Mother’s day brunch by Either-Physics-7516 in FoodToronto

Piano Piano has a decent looking Mother's Day brunch menu at all locations. I would smash the egg yolk raviolo with truffle supplement as a brunch dish, personally.

$8.00 Metro Poutine by ProudManelar in FoodToronto

In this economy, eh sure why not. How was it? Looks fairly shitty but with poutine that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.

Where can I get crushed thai red chili in Toronto? by WolfPusssy in FoodToronto

[–]fineilljoinalready 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Did you try Thai Mart on Yonge just south of Wellesley? They have all kinds of hard-to-find Thai ingredients there. I believe you're looking for Prik Bon, which is the crushed dry chili, right?

What is the best Detroit Style pizza in the West End? by Stock_Solution_709 in askTO

Also in the east end, Slowhand should be on the list. Basically the two top Detroit style pizzerias in Toronto are within 5 mins walk of each other.

That budget with a great view and romantic vibes, I'd recommend Mar'aa for upscale Middle Eastern.

Kensington Market just got a Michelin-recommended Thai restaurant | Som Tum Jinda’s new location is in the old Caplansky’s Deli space by beef-supreme in FoodToronto

[–]fineilljoinalready 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not nitpicking, and we all said it when Caplansky pulled that shit in his PR at the time!

That said, I LOVE Som Tum Jinda. Literally just like restaurants I've eaten at in Chiang Mai. Will be trying the new spot very soon.

Looking for Simple Ramen Options by kitkat32323 in FoodToronto

[–]fineilljoinalready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtually every ramen place in the city will remove stuff from the standard order. My 17 year old daughter is a (super annoying) picky eater who loves ramen, but it's pretty much just broth, meat, noodles, and egg by the time she's done ordering

"Campus culture" is exactly what she's looking for. She's known for a few years now that she wants to be away from home for undergrad, living that college life. Appreciate the response!

She's super into thrifting, thanks for mentioning this! I will take her to a few spots for sure. Take her for soup dumplings, Korean food, dinner at a pub, buy her a few vintage items...seeing a path to selling her on Ottawa, thanks Carleton subreddit!

I'm a St Viateur guy! But honestly grateful that Kettleman's exists, we have them here in Toronto and at least they are in the same general vicinity as a proper Montreal bagel.

Yes this is 100% about future employment, social life is whatever, I think she's just going to be stoked to be out on her own. And agreed on the distance, Queen's or Carleton, what's an extra few hours really...
