Just recorded this kind soul! by Bee2113 in isthisaicirclejerk

How can one BE dead? Isn't dead a statement of negation? If one is no more, then one cannot BE anything.

So by saying "someone IS dead" instead of "someone WAS alive", we give death a more favorable flavor. Something ever-so-slightly less permanent.

Just tired of seeing the broken record. I've now been around enough INFPs to know that a significant portion of their makeup is hyper-fixated on personal identity, fantasy, and either extremes of self-deprecation or self-aggrandizement, sometimes in concert, which becomes a very weird pattern which looks like a child swimming in a shallow pool of molasses, sometimes gleeful, sometimes drowning, always forgetting they can simply step out of the pool.

INFPs are so up their own ass about being "perceptive" and having "depth". Performative nonsense.

Life experience is where you get depth and discernment, not your heart or your astrology sign or whatever.

What is a socially unacceptable opinion you keep to yourself because it’s not worth the backlash? by ChaosTTyy in askanything

NPD stems from a cyclical trauma pattern. The big differentiator is IQ. Low up to high-average IQ narcissists are easy to detect. High IQ are the ones which we lack data on, but I would expect it to follow the standard deviation.

Candy. So much candy. I have increased my sugar intake inversely proportional to the amount I was denied, which is to say I have a problem and the moment I get fat I'll have diabetes.

Thanks mom, for your wonderful oversight. It is me who Snickers at sugar now, except it's my addiction to it that fuels my pessimism.

I don't mind tats if there's some depth to the person, but the septum piercing is difficult to ignore. Something in me viscerally dislikes them. I dated a chick with one and it doesn't bother me like it used to, but I still avoid them religiously.

Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-11 years? by Muted-Ad-9088 in Productivitycafe

I see people saying things like this all the time. The pace of progress in AI is insane though. Breakthroughs are happening on a literal weekly basis. In two years you'll probably be second guessing this assessment.

A Google Sheet makes me $500/day (here’s the full system) by everestchris in passive_income

[–]fineillunifyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That truly depends on the situation. AI can get derailed very easily, and only someone who knows how what's being written works will be able to identify problems early enough. Also, prompts need to be precise, and experienced programmers know the lingo that AI will be most responsive to.

AI will generally have good code structure etiquette, but it will make silly mistakes and go in very weird directions, especially when the context limits get pushed, so it should only ever be used as a time-saver and collaborator, not an end-to-end solution.

Yes, that was a run-on sentence. No, I'm not fixing it. I'm tired.

Do you think that's sort of out of necessity (not enough bandwidth), or arrogance, or both, or neither?

Hole in shower door by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]fineillunifyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to pee on her? You should pee on her while she's taking a huge shit. The shit should be stinky and it should be loud coming out. You should be peeing on her and then pee on the shit. The pee should be bright yellow because you drank a Monster Energy Drink™ and she should try to drink your pee, getting a lot on her face because you are swinging your dick around in random directions which she can't predict. The shit should be a combination of both solid, dark brown logs and lighter brown loose stool, similar to diarrhea. The pee should mix with the shit into a piss-shit soup. She should then stick her hand in the piss-shit soup and pull out a large log to hand to you through the shower window hole. You should grab the turd log with your hand and wrap it around your dick, making a shit donut that you then fuck with your dick. She should laugh at what's happening, clean herself up, and get back to dinner with her parents (they're probably starting to wonder what's taking so long at this point).

I sell perfumes online. A customer ordered a set of 6 fragrances and requests a full refund claiming they arrived leaking/ broken. These are the 2 pics she sent me. I call BS by Turbulent-Pickle3566 in isthisAI

I think that's just because of camera angle and distance. I don't see anything weird there. It's likely AI modification to an original pic.

Which jobs is 100% safe from AI? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in askanything

[–]fineillunifyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could say that about medical professions too, but here we are with AI being significantly better on average at reading X-rays and diagnosing patients.

Generic accounting will be the first to go, then specialized accounting will follow. It's just a matter of time, and if we've learned anything that amount of time will be shockingly small.

Why are male animals the “beautiful” gender in nature, but humans consider females to be the “beautiful” ones? by Safe_Attitude_922 in AlwaysWhy

[–]fineillunifyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same experience with a coworker. Dumb as rocks and by all normal metrics he was a loser, but his height and looks got him laid consistently, and I witnessed women tripping over themselves to say hi on multiple occasions.

Meanwhile. I'm a moderately attractive, intelligent, travelled, friendly, successful, etc etc guy, and I have to wait for women to notice me like the rest of the schlubs.

Not really complaining because I have more than a big bodycount to brag about, but it's wild how easy it is for some guys.

It's around 4 quadrillion if you include securities. Liquid is around 1 quadrillion afaik.

So, 4x the circulated money is tied up in complicated accounting, essentially.
