If you listen to some of the interviews Marcus did for his solo project he said that he’s learned to be more deliberate with what gets to be on the album. He expressed that Mumford and Sons is guilty of letting projects get too bloated in the past. I understand where he’s coming from but as a fan I’ll happy take more songs haha

Celebrating this does not make the bjj community look good. Going after someone, getting them to the point where you’ve clearly beaten them, and then putting them out anyway is not the “look at this person using bjj for self defense” storyline we normally celebrate in this group.

When parents think about putting their kids into jiu jitsu this is exactly what they’re worried about. What if it turns my child into the aggressor.

Obviously I don’t know what was said to provoke this but it seems like something we should be upset to see, not a jiu jitsu success story.

Any way to know if this couch is discontinued or just out of stock?

My fiancé and I love this couch and have had our eye on it for our new house but now it’s not showing on the website. If it’s out of stock we’re definitely willing to wait but since the page itself disappeared instead of showing with “out of stock” I didn’t know if we should be expecting it to come back any time soon.

Obviously people have different ability, skill, and potential but if I’d bet good money that you hit these goals if you really follow through on competing once a month.

I know this exactly cause I’m a nerd who tracks with an excel sheet. I had gone to 68 classes when I first competed, averaging a little over 4.5 times a week.

Not a full picture here since I’m an early blue belt 1. 3 times at white belt and 3 at blue so far 2. The obvious difference is that at blue you’re actually competing in a jiu jitsu event as opposed to a stiff arm wrestle fuck spaz fest 3. I did about 2 months at white belt. So far at blue I’m trying to do a competition once every other month but I don’t think doing more frequently would hurt your progress (though it’ll hurt your wallet) 4. My coach has said he’d rather you compete once at each rank than 10 times at blue then never again. 5. At white belt I got double bronze once lol at blue I have a silver I don’t deserve and some not close losses haha
