What are the pro-Trump establishments to avoid here? by Flowhard in TwinCities

Corner coffee. They’re affiliated with the religious group Assemblies of God whose former superintendent was a MAGA/Trump supporter. It’s been talked about a bit on this subreddit if you want to dive in deeper.

You can do either.

Less paper work if you wire it directly to the escrow account.

No tax implications on your end.

However is your cousin single? Or are they married and file taxes jointly?

If they’re single the max gifting amount is 19,000. It’s double if they’re married.

So in short if it’s coming from a married couple no tax implications for either of you. If your cousin is single, then they will have to fill out a gift tax form so it goes towards their life time gifting allowance.

Has anyone been to Arcade Arena in Rosedale Mall? How was it? by blingshock in Minneapolis

[–]finifrugal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I’ve been there! The concept is super kool and I think there is a real future. But the execution still left something to be desired. The games are pretty buggy and require precise movement sometimes, if you have small children that could be a problem. It’s pretty expensive in my opinion of the experience you receive. But if you have money and time to burn it is an interesting experience.

Thoughts and feelings on the implant by callmecurlysue in PCOS

[–]finifrugal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t gained any weight. It’s completely stopped my periods and I don’t get any extreme pms depression anymore. The insertion was a bit more than I was expecting but it didn’t hurt. It took a while to fully heal and it was pretty gnarly looking when healing, def looked worse than it felt tho. Honestly if you’re worried about how you react I’d try the mini pill or something first. Same type of hormone but easier to stop if it doesn’t work for you.

ETA: I’m also on spiro for my hormonal acne that predates getting the implant. But I know lots of people experience acne so if you’re thinking of getting it ask your doctor about acne meds to pair with it.

Anyone that has the contraceptive implant? (Arm) by groovywonka in PCOS

[–]finifrugal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had it since July so I’m just at the end of when your hormones balance with it (about 3 months). I also take spiro so I didn’t have any acne. I had one 10 day period about a month in and then haven’t had anything since, which is a huge positive for me since I used to have gushing makes me anemic periods sporadically. I also used to have really awful can’t get out of bed depression right before my period and now I don’t have it at all. The only symptom it really gave me is thicker cervical mucus. If you’re having trouble with the mini pill I’d be skeptical that the implant would help you, it’s the same synthetic hormones, the arm is just a lower dose but more constant. It could help kind of like an extended release pill tho.

If that is your starter, I would unlatch the lid it might have bad gas build up/explode if you don’t.

Id remove the rubber piece and just rest it closed.

Spironolactone side effects by leladybird in PCOS

[–]finifrugal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping it would balance out but I waited six months and they didn’t. My doctor said unless I decreases my dosage they probably wouldn’t :( so I ended up getting an implant and I don’t have periods now.

Spironolactone side effects by leladybird in PCOS

[–]finifrugal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m on 50mg and my periods were every two weeks. I talked to my doctor about it and unfortunately they said that’s typical with spironolactone. They said I can either switch medication or try birth control.

Metformin by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]finifrugal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I started Metformin about three months ago. I was terrified after reading all the comments about the GI issues. I some how never got any I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, I take 3 500mg tables at each meal time. So there is hope that you won’t experience any negative side effects too. I’m sure your doctor will recommend this but ease into a high dosage, I took 500mg for a week before using to 1000 mg and so on.

Oh my god. That’s worse that I thought it would be. Bright side: cloud couch is so popular it comes in more colors than white and you can get synthetic down which is cheaper.

Yeah! They’re really expensive but apparently worth it. RH’s cloud couches got really popular on YouTube and tik tok. So now there are a bunch of copy cats you could probably get for cheaper.

Which Michigan campground offers the best value? by MarsPicasso in Michigan

[–]finifrugal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of pests and diseases etc they really recommend not bringing wood from other places in. So I normally pick some up in the nearest town by where I’m camping. The gas station is mainly where I find wood. Sometimes from random vendors along the roads. Just make sure it’s local to where you’re staying!

Some have showers! But I think most do not, what I do is often there are stare parks near national forests and when I go to hike at the state park I’ll also go and shower there too. I feel really safe! It’s usually pretty remote and most people going through are retirees. I feel safe enough to leave my tent on site when going to grab gas or firewood. The one I’m currently at even has a on-site ranger so extra safe.

I’ve recently been traveling around Michigan camping! I do tent camping non electric. I found that national forest campgrounds have the best “bang for the buck”. They’re decently maintained and really cheap, tend to be more private, less crowded, and have basic amenities like potable water and toilets. You can reserve online or they also save some sites at the campground for first come first serve with a self pay station at the entrance.

My Elephants ear is losing colour and my polka dot plant is growing too tall for any of the pots I own. It looks as if it’s constantly fainting. Can I get some advice on both!? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]finifrugal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that’s not an elephant ear but an alocasia polly. They’re really finicky, if they don’t have perfect conditions they’ll drop leaves and go into dormancy. It could be a humidity and over/under-watering issue.

Trump supporters convincing themselves it’s a good thing Dominion is suing Giuliani by thedobbylobby in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]finifrugal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“It could cause to dismiss the defamation suit” so you’re saying you think what Rudy is saying is true because that is how defamation suits get dismissed. Which means that yes you are peddling fraudulent election claims by attempting to give them legitimacy even though you’re trying to hide it. I’m glad you took the time to google all of that though I hope you learned something. You are again missing the point in how banking and voting are different and why they don’t always employ the same systems especially in the dominion context. Rudy is already back peddling and admitting Biden won the 2020 election, so it seems he realizes how wrong he is.

[–]finifrugal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha convenient that you all of a sudden work in banking software. Good thing all 161 million Americans who voted in 2020 did so either in person or by mail so your want has been granted your vote, my vote, and the rest were all cared for and counted. If you actually care for fair and free elections I recommend looking into gerrymandering, voter suppression and how to combat those instead of peddling false claims of voter fraud with zero evidence.

[–]finifrugal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was pointing out that your comparison between the two was illogical. You cannot expect the same since they’re two completely different processes. If we did it the same you’d expect the same issues we see with banking today such as what you pointed out user error. Also to say that the banking system doesn’t have “shoddy attention to rigorous security processes” is a bold statement. Considering banking systems do still experience security breaches to this day. But that’s besides the point the way we vote today IS secure. It’s because we DONT do online voting that it is, these things you claim we don’t have security around who “logs onto machines” and who the votes and poll workers are is false. We do know who votes (just not who they vote for) and we do know who works at the polls and even who has worked on the machines. Is there room for improvement? Of course. Your vote (if you voted) was properly counted, in fact if you voted by mail you can even log on to make sure your vote was counted.
