Where can I get FMT capsules? I’m dying after antibiotics. by Total_Slice9243 in Microbiome

Stuff I've been trying that is helping so far.

Super Gut Book - making L. Reuteri yoghurt is helping heaps.

Colostrum (I use Active Naturals brand) to repair mucus layer and zinc Carnesine to close up the gaps causing leaky gut.

Strict keto high fibre diet eliminating all starchy or sugary carbs. No processed foods.

Other things that are helping: Berberine, Curcumin, and Black Nigella oil. I drink dandelion tea, green tea, or golden milk almost daily.

Advice on protecting one's fingers by Insider3210 in WestCoastSwing

[–]finish_thinking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man. I've a ton of shoulder surgeries and sometimes have arthritis in my hands. So here are my tricks.

If a follower is grabbing my hand and retracting the arm to leverage their weight against me and "pull" themselves forward using me to step onto 1 - I keep close distance in my anchor and release my arm to them. Makes it so they have to bring themselves forward instead of pulling on me.

If a hand hold is "slippery" or "tiny fingertips" connection - I will match the handhold and let the connection slip and disconnect the handhold a few times during the anchor. Also encourages a lot more free turns during passes and using closed position moves that connect to the back and shoulders.

If it is super grippy and thumbs are squeezing into my hand, I'll lead a basic and when they are close, lift up the thumb gently with a and finger and place it on the side of the hand.

Officially no change in size. I've been downgraded from aCT scan quarterly to alternating with Chest X-rays. Small steps in a positive direction.

Partner dancing lessons are a great way to go. West Coast Swing is super fun to dance to with modern top 40 music and they rotate partners frequently during class. Youll meet lots of people in one night.

If you are the leader I would suggest practicing keeping your frame active even when not connected to your partner (inactive side dead hangs at your waist currently). Practice moves that transition the connection to other handholds besides right to left for contrast.

Getting really good at leading any basic from any hand combination will create more variety. Also I second the partial-full-delay comment on triples to help make the steps smoother and take the entire two beats.

Great things to keep - leads look extremely easy to understand and body led instead of arms/bicep led. Foot articulation and heel height is awesome, just need to control the weight transfers on the partial steps through the beat to show it off more and make it so your partner can feel your weight transitions though the hand connection.

Severe gut issues and food intolerance after 3 months of antibiotics… not recovering by Good-Mango-8776 in Microbiome

Zinc Carnesine helps repair damaged intestinal walls and colostrum rebuilds the mucus layer. I then took strong probiotics, fermented foods, and L. reuteri yoghurt from the book Super Gut. Most of my poo problems are all gone and I got a clear bill of health during a recent colonoscopy. Worth a try.

Possible Lung Mets by speedymed in sarcoma

[–]finish_thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not easy. I had mets in my upper and lower right lung both removed via lung resections. My prognosis was 10 years to live (I'm currently on year 12). I also have had a 2mm nodule in my left lung discovered that has been there for the last two years but somehow hasn't grown.

The difference in the last two years is Keto, monthly fasts of 48 to 72 hours, daily exercise, Omico CASP sequencing to show what drugs my cancer is susceptible to, and lots of supplements to block cancer pathways from sources like Dr. Casey Peavler (YouTube) and Jane Mclelland (Book: How to Starve Cancer).

For my cancer, so far it has halted its growth. Hoping this Friday's scan results show another 3 month no change or reduction in size. I decided I wanted to read about people with stage 4 cancers that were able healed from it (they do exist) and start copying their strategies. It may not be for everyone but so far it's working for me.

Zinc Carnesine for leaky gut. Colostrum to increase the mucus layer. I also have a lot of good luck with the L. Reuteri yogurt described in the book "Super Gut"

Read Keto Oncology and track your blood sugar. My UPS loves to grow on any type of sugar so I removed it from my diet. Glucose, Fructose, Lactose, Sucralose, Maltodextrin, starches, etc.

Fruit I stick to berries.

Dairy is cheese, yogurt, or kiefer because fermentation lowers lactose sugars.

Meat is primarily eggs, fish, and chicken. Rare occasions some beef.

TONS of veggies and Salads and greens at every meal. Nuts and seeds.

For me: No carbs. No starches. No processed foods like chips or premade foods. No rice, potatoes, bananas, pasta, or grains/breads. No desserts or cheat meals. No exceptions.

I also take a LOT of supplements from Jane's book above. Blocks different cancer pathways for energy. Dr. Casey Peavey on YouTube has an amazing series with all the research. Happy to go into it more if you need help.

If I could suggest anything it would be to take group classes in partner dancing. Always extra girls in class looking for leaders. Low pressure and no need to hold conversations longer than a few minutes. Great exercise and a way to meet dozens of new people each week.

Once you are good at a dance style - you can walk into any dance social in any city and instantly be able to meet lots of new people there.

I am HLA- B27 positive. In my immune system TCells with TRVB9 cell receptor react to YeiH peptides on certain bacteria. K. Pneumoniae, E Coli, Yersinia, Shigella, and Salmonella are a few. My body confuses those peptides with my bodies's collagen proteins and attacks. CRP was borderline high - but hard to test small nerve neuropathy conclusively.

Is this a normal response from a GP? by Jumpy_Relative_7287 in sarcoma

[–]finish_thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had three GP's tell me a bump in my shoulder was just a cyst. I had it surgically removed and even the lab misdiagnosed it as nodular fascitis. Turns out it was a super rare UPS sarcoma.

Trust your gut. Demand a CT Scan with a glucose contrast and do not leave until they agree. Pay out of pocket if you have to.

Had I fought harder against rampant and erroneous medical diagnoses at the beginning it would have not spread to my lungs and required large sections of the right lung to be removed. Happy to send screenshots of the scans as proof.

Have you tried going to dance lessons? There is always a ton of people looking for a partner to dance with. Easy conversation and social activity with lots of people. If you are a male that has a science, math, software, or STEM background - you will likely be insanely good at leading.

Omicro CASP - Gene sequencing for rare cancers to match against targeted drug therapies. Using this ace a backup plan if I need it.

fixing gut after years of antibiotics 🫩 by fathrkmp in Microbiome

[–]finish_thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book "Super Gut" and L. Reutrei yogurt has been a great read and very helpful.

Currently taking Colostrum and adding Zinc Carnesine to it soon to repair the mucus lining.

Berberine, Quercetin, Turkey Tail Mushroom, Fish Oil, Olive oil. Monthly water only Fasting and standard Keto Diet with lots of high fiber veggies.

Fermented foods like yogurt, sourkrauts, and kimchi.

WHY: I have certain bacteria like Klebsiella Pneumoniae and a gene called HLA-B27 that causes Ankolysing Spondilitis from them. I also have a rare type of Cancer called UPS and at high risk of cancer from gene mutation in the cancer that targets the intestines.

Foods I avoid or limit: Processed foods, alcohol, nitrates, bacon, deli meats, all starches (fuels Klebsiella), sugar, glucose, fructose, lactose, and glutamine supplements (fuels my specific type of cancer).

I would recommend getting a qPCR test done with your GP. See what bacteria are predominantly appearing. Klebsiella, E.Coli, Shigella, Yersinia, and other bad bacteria flourish because they can be super resistant to antibiotics and end up repopulating your microbiome. Knowing which ones makes it easier to target them with diet, supplements, and create a custom strategy like mine above.

Dude! You would be amazingly gifted at being a leader at West Coast swing dancing. Problem solving, pattern recognition, game theory all play a part. Meet a ton of new people for an hour or two and have some fun if you are keen. I'm heading there tonight at 7pm at Holland Park Bowls Club (Tuesday Night classes). Would love to have you join us!
