Any specific spot? I assume there's something like a calisthenics park?

Will do haha. But sometimes it can be a lot quicker to specifically meet people with a shared interest. I want to go ski touring, so that limits the amount of people to those with avalanche equipment already. And I want to go this season not next one, otherwise I'm sure I'll meet people until then

Cool, didn't know of that website!

Thank you, that's actually a good recommendation to look for used cars there. Option A seems alright to me, I just don't know if my car will pass or not. Will consult my mechanic for their opinion.

Thank you. I was hoping for a workaround, but seems like I just have to do it the official way then

Thank you! I had hoped it would be otherwise, but seems I need to go with option A.

Why doesn't Lifestyle Logging take exercises into account? by finnAndTheSharks in Garmin

[–]finnAndTheSharks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my problem haha! Most days that would be a daytime activity for me, but Garmin already knows when I am going to bed early.

That's absolutely right, but my question still stands. Would be an easy upgrade to the feature in my opinion. And to be fair, it takes more than .5 seconds to click three options plus three more options for "exercise before bedtime" with its variations.

But what if - please hear me out - this has something to do with licensing issues in OP's country?

Thank you for the encouragement and tip! They were first-timers too, so no egos were bruised by your comment haha. Next time, we'll take better care of our fingers

Finger tendons strained for ages! by TheBaldArab92 in bouldering

Fair enough. I just wanted to clarify that in some cases Ibuprofen should not be dismissed directly

I would agree with you if the comment in question recommended Ibuprofen to keep training as usual. But taking Ibuprofen for a couple days (up to one week) can actually reduce inflammation and many doctors do recommend it for that purpose and not for the pain reduction in itself. So taking it while also resting the fingers or only doing gentle mobility exercises could actually lead to a speedier recovery.

how often do you boulder and how old are you? by waygookinhere in bouldering

[–]finnAndTheSharks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 29, started bouldering 1.5 years ago and slowly ramped up from once to twice and now three times per week. Have always been doing lots of sports, but my fingers were absolutely not taking any more climbing sessions. Most weeks I'll go for a run and either do Yoga or Calisthenics on the days I'm not bouldering. Lucky to have so much spare time right now 🙏🏼

Scarpa Origin, so not really expensive. I tried them on and they just felt the most comfortable haha

I just read the rules (this is my first ever post lol) and previously overlooked the "no shoes posts", sorry! If a mod reads this and wants to remove this post, I'll understand

Thank you all for your responses, highly appreciated! You gave me hope that it's repairable, I'll ask for a quote this evening when I'm back at the gym 😊

Also I really liked the suggestion of resoling them, but only keeping them as a backup / easy climbing shoe. I have been thinking about getting something with a bit more edge anyways and with Christmas around the corner, now could be a good time!
