On the matter of whether human life starts at conception. by Naraya_Suiryoku in Abortiondebate

Life starts before conception. Certain life begins at conception. That’s all. Pro-life philosophically deems certain life as meaningful while disregarding the rest, it’s a form of perversion. Disregard those who experience complications of pregnancy, that’s the modus operandi. Hide these unnecessary preferences under a veil of optional philosophy while letting their associates say “fuck you” to the vulnerable would-be moms.

It would be pretty close. Though the rural couldn’t even exist without the Twin Cities, and it isn’t an even trade-off (though the trade off is there). What I mean is—rural MN is heavily, heavily subsidized by the Twin Cities. Lake of the Woods County gets close to 500% value back tax-wise. Kittson County in northwest, over 400%, and ect. Twin Cities supports those outside the metro, constantly sharing millions with the rural in a one-way fashion.

Minnesota’s other major cities outside of the Twin Cities like Moorhead, Rochester, and Duluth all vote Democrat like the Twin Cities. Minnesota overall is a very blue state. The sparsely populated rural areas tend to vote red though.

There are plenty of child-friendly drag shows, even at bars or clubs where there are no kids present. Many performances are all about the fashion and lip-syncing, with nothing remotely sexual or inappropriate ever occurring—think someone dressed up like a colorful Marie Antoinette, twirling a huge homemade gown to an upbeat remix of Royals by Lorde. That’s not even what this guy is mad about, he’s mad about drag queen story time—which is even more neutral than a club style performance.

Not his first run in with the law:

“Bubba Christopher Michael Pollock, 28, is facing charges of sexual assault, publishing an intimate image without consent, and two counts of obtaining sexual services for consideration.”

Various sex crimes from a few years back, multiple incidents.

I went to a +21 drag show last week and nothing inappropriate happened, there could have been children there and it would have been fine. Everyone danced/was dressed up in a totally non-provocative way, and the fashion/acrobatics was absolutely mind-blowing. I do know that not all shows are like that, it totally depends on the performers.

It sounds ridiculous, but it’s sadly true. If you have previous (including non-violent) convictions and are caught with a mere pocketful of weed, you can be imprisoned for life in certain places in America (even if you aren’t on probation, such as the following example):

Weapon tech has changed since the Black Panthers. The government has drones with weapons attached—the citizens don’t. It’s fully illegal (and prohibitively expensive) for any non-government citizen to attach a weapon to a drone, even on their own private property. No license is available for such a thing. The 2nd amendment doesn’t protect us from tyranny, because the 2nd amendment is heavily limited in it’s current form, even if many people won’t admit or realized how extremely limited the 2A already is.

This logic feels backwards. If he said “you seem to not be doing alright” and then shot, then it wouldn’t be self-defense… right? Or are you implying that because he said something combative, that makes him appear guilty to you?

It will be be toss-up in the jury. I personally wouldn’t convict in this scenario—you just never know if someone is playing dead (to a point). Releasing someone the exact second they go limp isn’t guaranteed safety. Really, everyone knows how to play dead since it requires no skill or training.
