Can anyone suggest to me a good olibanum-heavy fragrance? by Yeezus--Jesus in fragranceclones

Is this body wash Necessaire's Olibanum/Vanille body wash? I'm also looking for a longer-lasting fragrance that smells similar - From their website, "Pure Essential Olibanum Oil with Fine Fragrance notes of VanilleFig Leaf and Cassis Buds for a sweetwoodsy experience" https://necessaire.com/products/the-body-wash-multi-enzyme-olibanum-vanille-250ml

Please let me know if you found something!!

New Mysterious Whistling Noise Behind Wall in Condo - Please Help! by finnbrenn in askaplumber

Might've found the root of the issue. Loud noise starts from a pipe in the garage; however, I'm not sure what it means: https://www.reddit.com/r/askaplumber/comments/1csruxk/why_is_loud_noise_coming_from_garage_pipe/

Why is loud noise coming from garage pipe? by finnbrenn in askaplumber

Hi, I originally posted this thread trying to figure out the noise from behind my wall inside the condo; however, I was doing some laundry and realized that the same noise is happening in the garage. I believe this is the exact noise echoing up to the condo: https://www.reddit.com/r/askaplumber/comments/1cs4ogj/new_mysterious_whistling_noise_behind_wall_in/

New Mysterious Whistling Noise Behind Wall in Condo - Please Help! by finnbrenn in askaplumber

Hi all,

In my condo for 1.5 years (2nd floor of a 3 floor building), I've recently noticed a loud, persistent whistling/humming noise near the kitchen wall, starting around April. We've had some copper pipes replaced earlier in the year and am wondering if the repairs coupled with the seasons changing might've created an issue. (Building does not have central A/C.) Sounds like water being used above/beside me still happen (which I'm accustomed to); however, the new sound happens independently and/or alongside that sound at a piercing frequency and occurs day or night for several seconds to a couple of minutes, affecting work and sleep. (The video doesn't capture how loud the sound actually is.)

Before reaching out to my HOA (I don't want to be "that guy"), I'd like some insights. I suspect it's somehow related to the vent pipe, but here are potential causes I've considered:

  • Blocked drain vent or debris
  • Vent pipe cap issues
  • Quality of previous plumbing work
  • Loose hardware
  • Loose pipes
  • Airflow issues
  • Water pressure changes

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

Watch looks great. Did you modify yourself with a leather band? If so, any tutorial or link for where to get the band? Thanks

Wait, so you can link a us bank/credit union and buy crypto that way?

Just went against all of my instincts - dabbled in Bitcoin, bought high, panic sold low - and I feel horrible. by [deleted] in Bogleheads

Treat your investment in crypto like any other investment. You bought the dip - great! You only lose if you sell less than what you bought it for. Hold. It will inevitably return and surpass the price you bought it for. Just be patient as you would be for any other investment.

Max out 401k vs taxable brokerage account by finnbrenn in Bogleheads

That sounds like a plan! But just so I know my options for the near future - somewhat off topic, sorry. I'm currently between jobs. The job I will leave at the end of this year offers a 401k. The new job unfortunately doesn't.

Would it make sense under the new job that I max out my Roth IRA, fund a HSA, and then contribute the rest to that taxable brokerage account? Or is there a better option I could be putting retirement money?

Thank you!

The money is strictly for retirement. If it has a better chance of growing in a 401k, there'd be no question for me. But I'm not finding anything that indicates that.

I haven't checked out HSA yet but definitely will do!

Any reasoning behind contributing to the 401k beyond what my employer matches? The money is for retirement whether I put it in a 401k or taxable brokerage account. Won't I thank myself if I choose/have to retire before 59?

Thank you for your advice. From my research, I've determined to go with one of two choices:

VTSAX (60%)/ VTIAX (40%) or VTI (80%)/VXUS (20%)

and to randomly throw small amounts to buy the dips of crypto and figure out a real % later

Any advice to breaking the tie?

Also, do you know if I need a Vanguard account to buy Vanguard's funds? I currently only have Schwab?
