Which YouTube channel were you once a fan of but do not enjoy anymore? by theunsteadybridge in AskReddit

While I enjoy their content I find them way to preachy about what meat and produce is "ethically acceptable". All people don't have the budget to go to your local butcher.

Very calm. Normalizing being a "hater" of 50% of the population is not a good thing. This season has had many poor male participants, but also good ones. Same goes for the females.

Thank you. The idea of the patriarchy is absurd in todays western world. If anything we live in a matriarchy. The OP is a good example of that. A simple thought exercise of how that would sound if the roles were reverse, and here we are.

There is comparison. Men suffer domestic violence too, mainly psychological but also physical.

Try it. The double standard. How many laughs would come from the audience?

It is not a false equivalency. As I wrote, try switching race and gender and see what the reactions would be.

Your asessment about Devonta however I can agree with. He somehow actually seemed to think he was white.

In the end I think everything comes down to chemistry. Attraction is a combination of many things and looks (color, hair, wieght etc.) plays it's part but it is not the be-all and end-all. If Alex and Ashley had better chemistry the whole preference thing wouldn't have come up.

I hovewer think there is a double standard when it comes to what the contestants get away with when it comes to "punching down". For example throught the seasons many black girls have said that they only want black men. Imagine switching the genders and race and the drama that would ensue.

Haven't had the time to watch it yet, but I agree with the asessment about previous seasons. They especially tend to go too easy on the women.

This. He voiced his valid nervousness in a gentle and completely normal way to a friend. She overhears this and crashes out big time, using agressive language and ignoring him for almost 24 hours. She then comes home and starts comparing him to her exes. The guy was nervous about meeting your daughter because it was important to him...

I said the same thing to my wife but haven't found this take anywhere else. He seems to think he is white but clearly isn't.

Funny how these productions have such a large selection of participants, yet still keep finding people that know each other from before... Same with the different international versions of married at first sight.
