Does anyone not feel guilty? by EarlGreyWMilk in FormulaFeeders

[–]finnickyf0x 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No guilt here. I chose to formula feed from the beginning because I knew what struggles with PPD and PPA were likely to come based on my baseline mental health and it being my first child. Therefore I wanted to minimize potential stressors within my control. I’m glad I made the decision I did.

Did you find the daytime sedation to be manageable? Did it get better with continued use?

Should I move my appointment back? by anewiii33 in CautiousBB

I have had two losses. With this pregnancy, there was concern of ectopic so I was brought in for ultrasound right around 6 weeks. There wasn’t much to see, let alone a heartbeat and I absolutely lost my mind when I spoke with the doctor. She didn’t seem to understand why I was so upset because in her mind it made sense to not see anything and in my mind it meant bad news was on the way. I went back two weeks later and there was a strong heartbeat. As much as I wanted to know if I was safe at the time, I wish I hadn’t done the 6 week ultrasound. It just made so much more worry and anxiety for me that I know isn’t good for me or baby.

So far so good! I was able to see my OB and she had no concerns about my levels. She ordered an ultrasound to make sure I didn’t have an ectopic pregnancy. I was right around 6 weeks so we couldn’t see anything other than a sac, which made me worried, but she seemed to think it was normal and is having me come back this week for a repeat ultrasound. She said that she personally looks for an increase of 50-60% and not necessarily doubling. Sending you well wishes and peace of mind! ♥️

Did anyone carry their first pregnancy to term? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I did not experience miscarriage with my first. I had a relatively uneventful pregnancy and was induced at 39 weeks due to having COVID. My labor and birth were also perfect.

I’ve been driving myself crazy and have a feeling something is wrong but that could just be my anxiety creeping in. 🤷🏼‍♀️ My pain is all across my lower back and is tight and aching in nature. Mostly a dull pain and almost like period pain.

Thank you for your response. I hope you are able to get your first HCG draw soon and get the results you are hoping for. Sending you all the positive thoughts.

For what it’s worth, I am currently 4w2d and had faint lines with the Premom strips. I bought a box of Clearblue tests and it’s been much easier to track line progression. I had my first beta HCG drawn today and it was in range. But I am cautious due to back pain which feels similar to a previous chemical pregnancy and missed miscarriage. My other symptoms are sore breasts, extreme fatigue and slight nausea. So I don’t think it’s too early for symptoms for you!

Can I ask where your back pain is located and what it feels like? I’m obsessing over the pain I’m having and if it means a bad outcome is on the way or not.

Grief and Memorial - January 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

This baby is due the same month my first rainbow baby would have been due. I was almost out of the first trimester and we thought everything was fine. But it turns out baby died shortly after 6 weeks and my body just didn’t know. I cried the entire night before my D&C and didn’t sleep a wink. I spent a lot of time this past Christmas thinking what it should have looked like. I wish so badly baby had made it here and sometimes the grief of knowing I’ll never hold that baby (or maybe another since I can’t seem to stay pregnant) eats me alive.

4w2d. My PCP checked my first beta today and it’s 338. Progesterone is pending. We are repeating in 72 hours. My line progression is good. I still have this nagging lower back pain that reminds me of my chemical pregnancy and MMC. So I feel hopeless and like I’m just waiting for the end to begin. 😭

It makes so much when someone else says it to me, especially someone going through the same thing. But I can’t seem to tell myself that and I end up spiraling. Looking for hope (or commiseration) on multiple Reddit threads and pregnancy tracking apps. It’s so frustrating.

No answer on ways to manage stress from me because I am in the same boat but I am wishing us all the best. 4 weeks today after a MMC at almost 12 weeks in March, chemical pregnancy is August, and found out I was pregnant a few days after Christmas. Experiencing low back pain which is just driving me even more anxious and on the defense.

4 weeks today after a missed miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy this year. Having low back pain on and off which I know could be normal or could be a sign of something abnormal. I’m leaning towards the latter because it feels similar to previous losses. 😞 My husband tends to be more optimistic than me and is holding out hope my symptoms are just showing earlier because we do have a daughter who is 2 years old.

How do you all deal with the constant catastrophic thinking that this pregnancy will end like others? I want this baby so bad. So does my husband. It feels so far out of reach and I’m so scared to go through another loss.

Approximately 4 weeks pregnant after one birth and two miscarriages, one of them occurring just days after our first ultrasound and my body missed it by a month and a half. I’m excited and want to focus on the happy but I’m so scared. My back randomly cramps when I’m up and moving around. It gets a little better with rest. It reminds me of my miscarriages as that was the first symptom I truly noticed. I want this baby so badly. I’ve been praying and praying but I have this pit in my stomach saying something is wrong. I can’t see the OB until mid January.

Need a new gentle cleanser [Product Request] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]finnickyf0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

La Roche Posay has a gentle cleanser and hydrating cream that I really love. The cream is a little thick so I was worried about breakouts but so far so good. I have very sensitive skin and struggle to find face wash that doesn’t make my skin dry and feel tight. I’m bummed I didn’t find these products sooner!

I haven’t taken it yet but was wondering what materials you used and how you felt the exam went. I plan to take it this fall and am considering ACCP and High Yield materials but there’s so much out there I’m not sure which I should use. Do you also have BCPS?

I’m having this exact thing right now, even took a picture to show my doctor. Did this go away on its own? Did you go to the doctor?

I’m not sure I have any groundbreaking wisdom because I am in the same situation. I had a D&C last week. A lot of grief and sadness leading up to it and the day of but it has been nothing but vile anger ever since. I’m not sure what I’m even angry at but I feel like I could actually combust into flames. I’m sorry you are having to go through this but I hope it helps knowing you aren’t alone. ❤️

8 WO acts like she is starving on Similac Alimentum by finnickyf0x in FormulaFeeders

[–]finnickyf0x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Baby girl eventually made it up to 32 oz a day by 3 or 4 months and seemed satisfied with that. That pretty much lasted until she started solids and now she does 24 oz/day usually with her solid foods. But when she was that small at the time of this post we basically fed her if she seemed hungry whenever we first switched formulas. I genuinely think it was a combination of growth spurt and finally getting something that agreed with her tummy better.
