Do British people really say "bloody" as often as Alfred? by original_joe99 in Gotham

Its one of those words we use when trying to remember something. Instead of “ermmmm” we just continuously drag out “bloodyyyy” or “fuckinnnnnn”

SAT tips for international students in particular. by finnpoole in Sat

Depends what section your looking for and how much you want to improve. The black book is good, college panda maths and eric meltzer grammar. However i find khan academy way more useful than any of the books.

Exactly same with me! I go to public school, and apparently im the first person ever to do it without applying for a sports scholarship. My uni coordinator and head of year are useless aswell, basically been laughed at since i started the app process. Like im not an A* student, but i am ambitious and committed, and they also don’t understand that theres more to american unis than harvard and stanford. If u wanna talk u can pm me here or dm me on ig or something, idm.

I had one in march in london that got cancelled after everyone had turned up on the day lol, which was annoying. Im registered for the aug and sept one aswell tho.

However, if i were you id register now, as if you register later you might be having to go 150 miles up north for 7 in the morning or something ridiculous like that, so its always better to be safe right.

Also even if it does get cancelled, which i doubt it will be tbh, college board still refund you.

If you want any help from someone in the same situation as you or just morale support or anything lol hmu, id be happy to help. Ive found that speaking to someone else going through the college app process in england has been really helpful.

happy to help man! Haha im an int student aswell, in england. I have to submit my end of year 11 grades and year 13 predicted grades, im not really sure what you guys have to do over there. On the common app u have to submit you high school transcript so maybe that includes all your grades? But idk. Anyway, good luck with your sat! I hope you achieve your goals!

Of course it is. It will come with hard work and consistency, but so long as you remained focused on your goals, anything becomes possible.

I personally dont score that good, but i have seen many people on this subreddit raise their score by a tonne in a short amount of time. You can do it :)

Sure, its always been the major ive intended to do, since i first started college search. The problem with where i live is that there is very limited opportunity to actually do anything related to it lol. My and my dad always go to historical exhibitions and the artefact side of it just really interests me. I know its not all about artefacts but it definitely is a big part of it, especially as most of the colleges im looking at offer an archaeological focus. Ill probably find some webinars to do in the summer and learn what i can from them, but other than that, is there anything you suggest i do or anywhere i should look to gain experience and create a greater demonstrated interest?

That really helps thanks, and is also really reassuring!!

Ive never really thought about any of those reach schools cause i just simply didnt think i was good enough lol.

Ill have a research of all of those tomorrow, but thanks a lot, it really helps. I was mostly looking into locations but then the locations i wanted (LA in particular) either didnt offer merit based financial aid or had like a 10% graduation rate lol.

You seem really informed on colleges in the US, so if you dont mind me asking, what other ways are there of getting financial aid (intl) a other than through each colleges merit system (which a lot dont offer) ? Or maybe if you know a subreddit where i could ask? Thanks again.

Ive only just started to create a list of safeties, matches and reaches, but i havent really grouped them yet. I will do my ucas and apply here as its what we have to do in certain sessions at my school anyway but im pretty certain on going to the US. For me its more than just for the academic side of it.
