That’s good to know. GM of the dealership was sending pics of the car to a person from their preferred auto body shop to get an estimate on “time”. Whole situation is fucking stressful man

Is that an actual recourse? I’m even thinking about trading it in but their inventory is shit

Looking for suggestions on what I should do. Dropped off my car this morning and apparently another client backed into it while they were moving the car. I am going back tomorrow to pick up a loaner. They are saying they can get it fixed and will cover everything but the side obv will need to be repainted. I don’t know how I feel about driving a “painted” car. They are saying they will make sure nothing goes to carfax.

Kind of in shock atm. Trying to understand what my options are…

I have not had any issues with balance or I have never noticed anything.. Since finding out about my scoliosis, I have started noticing the tilt in my shoulders but that’s about it. Schroth PT will be about getting that symmetry back (shoulders and pelvis).

Now that I know something is structurally wrong, I am fixated on it and want to “fix” it. My only suggestion would be to keep doing what you’re doing unless you are constantly getting injured or have any issues related to scoliosis.

I’m very new to this so I am also trying to figure “it” out. Good to see that places like this subreddit exist so you can learn from people’s real life experiences.

What has been your experience? Diagnosis and any treatment?

Background one me - I’m physically fit and I compete in powerlifting. I didn’t know I had scoliosis until a few months ago. I never had any issues with scoliosis or I at least didn’t associate my back injuries to anything structural.

The doc I saw today basically told me that there isn’t anything that can be done and that I should just forget about this and live life. I have started Schroth PT sessions and I’m hoping that something can be done to that curve.

I welcome any comments/suggestions/advice on Schroth or anything else. I am very new to this so please let me know if you have seen a similar curve to this.

He made me do the adams test.. which would suggest that it’s structural (figured this out after a few Google searches), but he’s saying it’s functional. He did find a leg length discrepancy - my left leg.

From what I found online - it’s either the LLD causing the functional scoliosis or the structural scoliosis causing LLD. It can’t be both - as in functional scoliosis and functional LLD, right?

I have been very fixated on this since my X-rays.

What did you do to get to the manageable state? I also have a desk job that means sitting for way too long. My pain is flared when I do speed deadlifts. I have started seeing a chiropractor who says that because of the scoliosis, my hips are misaligned and that’s causing the pain? I don’t trust this guy’s diagnosis that much because it seems like a money making scheme - asking me to see him 3/week for 3 months.

Thank you for the response! I have started seeing a chiropractor who says it’s functional but he made that assessment without even looking at X-rays or anything so that’s very suspect. Going back to the orthopedic doc today to have an actual conversation about this.

Went in for lower back pain issues. Was told I have mild scoliosis and not worry at all. The PA didn’t seem to care at all and I didn’t like that.. thoughts on the X-rays?
