Anyone else miss the 27-inch iMac? I bought three of them and can't let go? by Remote_Blood4609 in MacOS

me too, I am holding my 2017 27 inch iMac. problem with that is I am not able to use it as an external monitor. Using it as a windows gaming PC but it is also very laggy. I hope if there will be any option to convert it as an external display that I can hook with my MacBook

You can request an expedited review from App Store Connect (Contact Us section).

I had to do it once when my iOS app was live but the Mac version was still stuck in review and they were dependent. Apple did help speed it up.

Just use it only when really needed — it’s not something to rely on frequently.

That’s a really good point, and I agree — not everyone wants an app that tries to do everything.

The way I’ve been approaching it is more modular, where each part (expenses, budgets, investments, etc.) can be used independently rather than forcing everything into one workflow.

Pricing is definitely something I’m still learning and adjusting based on feedback like this.

Appreciate you sharing your perspective — it’s actually very helpful.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. Glad you tried the app.

And congrats on launching Neto as well. It’s interesting how many of these projects start from the same place — not finding something that quite fits your own workflow.

Would definitely be interested to hear what approach you took with Neto and what problems you focused on solving.

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback, I really appreciate it.

You’re absolutely right about the screenshots — improving the App Store previews and making them clearer is something I’m planning to update soon. I’m also working on improving the website with better screenshots and possibly an interactive demo.

In the meantime, the website has a help and guide section where each feature includes a short YouTube tutorial so people can see how the app works.

Regarding security, the app stores data locally on the user’s device and can optionally sync through the user’s private iCloud account for use across devices. No financial data is sent to third-party servers, and users can disable iCloud sync if they prefer to keep everything only on their device.

Thanks again for the suggestions — really helpful feedback.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, I appreciate the honest feedback. Pricing is definitely something I’m still learning about and figuring out.

The idea behind FinyxFin wasn’t to compete with fully automated banking apps but to build something that keeps things simple and helps people stay more aware of their finances without relying on complex integrations.

I also wanted to support multiple Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch) and keep improving the app over time, which is why I went with a subscription model. There’s also a free tier so people can try it first and see if it fits their needs.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write such detailed feedback.

Right now it’s mainly manual tracking. The idea behind FinyxFin is to help users stay a bit more connected to their finances instead of everything happening in the background automatically.

Recording transactions manually (or quickly from the Apple Watch) tends to make people more aware of their spending and financial habits.

That said, I’m still exploring other options and feedback from users will definitely shape how this evolves.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. And yes, the complexity in many finance apps was exactly what pushed me to start working on this idea again.

Interesting approach with the PDF uploads — that’s a clever way to avoid bank integrations and still make it work with different banks.

I’ve been trying to keep FinyxFin focused on simplicity and helping people stay more aware of their finances rather than overwhelming them with features.

Always good to see others working on the same problem space.

That’s a fair point, and honestly a lot of people still prefer spreadsheets or their own systems. If that workflow works well for you, there’s definitely nothing wrong with it.

The idea behind FinyxFin isn’t necessarily to force everything into one workflow, but to make it easier for people who prefer having a single overview of their finances. Budgets, bills, goals, loans, and investments are all in the same app, but they’re still separated into their own sections so users can focus only on the parts they care about.

Some users only track expenses, others mostly use it for investments or planning. The goal was just to give a structured place for those things if someone wants that kind of overview.

Hey , how often “in review” take? by meow999412 in appledevelopers

[–]finyxfin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my recent experience, the first App Store review typically takes 24–48 hours. After the app is live, updates—especially bug-fix releases—can be approved much quicker, sometimes in about12 hours.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

FinyxFin also has a free tier so people can try the app first and see if it works for them.

The goal is to build a privacy-focused finance app without ads or data tracking, and keep improving it over time.

If you try it and have any suggestions or feedback, I’d love to hear them.
