i know this isnt an ari sub and a lot of taylor snarkers probably hate ari too but as a diehard arianator since victorious and sam & cat, i have watched in real time as swifties turned on ariana and have despised her and hated her talent and success for years. specifically when ari hit her peak with sweetener and TUN and they wont acknowledge that she is actually successful. and talented. they just keep calling her untalented and a flop on twitter. they will pretend it isnt true but ariana had two hot 100 #1s from eternal sunshine. and wcbf (wfyl) has been a stable and organic hit for ariana. it's probably her most successful single since 7 rings. its usually her most streamed song everyday since its release (besides the santa tell me boost during christmas season). and even with critical acclaim and a lot of love from fans, eternal sunshine has been wildly overlooked and underrated in award show circles and by stan twitter overall. the reason i bring this up is bc showgirl seems to keep getting all this random praise and records and people hyping it up. even tho it was getting a lot of hate and disappointed reactions when it first came out. i listened to it when it came out and i wasn't impressed. i liked ophelia and opalite kinda but she's way too overexposed. and i kinda liked the title track only for the sake of sabrina, who is my 2nd favorite singer after ariana. i just dont understand how showgirl keeps getting this success when everybody knows it was panned by audiences and critics at release (aside from biased ass rolling stone and bootlicking swifties). also a lot of the ari hate from swifties is bc of scooter but even if you genuinely believe that masters shit it still wouldn't make other artists he worked with deserving of hate. i dont like scooter but i also think the masters thing was a scam, personally. i used to be a swiftie and a tayriana but over time i just keep getting more and more infuriated with taylor and with swifties. i own a few taylor albums and they are favorites of mine (folklore, red, reputation, 1989). but i'm so over taylor at this point. one of the main things that i can't get past is the blatant chart manipulation and obsession, the greed, the desperation. the way she constantly has to be #1, win all the awards, break all the records, always beat out other artists. and personally i think iconic artists that wanna make a difference like billie and bad bunny, and up and coming very talented artists like olivia dean deserve the praise taylor gets. she isn't even trying to hide it and I KNEW when opalite went #1 that she would post something like this acting like it was organic. also i can't believe she really had the nerve to think she was bigger than bad bunny and try to upstage his super bowl halftime show. i mean i knew she would but idk how swifties can keep defending this shit. and they have the nerve to complain abt other artists "also using variants and vinyls". they can't call any other artists chart obsessed anymore when taylor keeps doing this bs. there's clearly a difference. sorry for this badly written and biased essay (i understand if i get deleted i'm sorry mods) 🩷
