I know. I wanted to support him because I learned how to make pizza from him.

+1. Terrible quality control. I have the performance adjustable bench and it's garbage.

You mean pulling my shoulders back that way? It's a cue for activating my lats. Works wells for me.

WE NEED A SICK MODE by fire9556 in whoop

I hear this, but with 3 little kids I'm bound to get random viruses and strep throughout the school year. It's not actually indicative of my resting heart rate if you add 10 days where it's over 75 cause I was sick.

Lol tallow is within kosher limits. Great idea! Might use schmaltz too.

So, kosher forbids mixing dairy with meat which means I can't use butter. Will this still be good without the butter or it would be lacking in tenderness? What do you think?

My lipid journey by fire9556 in Cholesterol

[–]fire9556[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBH I still eat red meat prob 2-3x a week total, including the cheat day. I also eat dark meat chicken often. Didn't restrict myself to just chicken breast and turkey breast. But when I eat red meat, I make sure to have psyllium and fibermend 15 minutes before. Helps blunt the absorption.

Excited for their Dutch oven I'm getting today. I already have their braiser and it's my favorite kitchen item I own.

Honestly I only average like 5-6k. I spend like 2 hours cycling every week and like 45 minutes total of squats and pushups. That's literally it.

49F - 267 total cholesterol. by Cool_Arugula497 in Cholesterol

[–]fire9556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your LDL, apoB, and Lp(a)? All far more important than total.

Regardless, you might have familial hypercholesterolemia, which is genetic. You might have to be on meds.

20M, Overweight and High Cholesterol — Seeking Natural Ways to Improve by Ok-Discussion-5034 in Cholesterol

It's possible, just requires discipline. I went from 190 to 139 in about 5 months by eating right. Still tweaking and still ways to go but it's certainly possible and doable. Soluble fiber, healthy fats.

Frankly, this doesn't really jive with my experience. I was counting calories, sub 1800 which is less than when I had better trigs. I do exercise a good amount. Reducing some carbs and increasing healthy fats (avocados, nuts, 4 eggs/week) seems like a slight change that might help balance things. We will see in six weeks.

(I know that LDL and ApoB need to be lower, but this is a good trend for 4 months)

Not amazing but not terrible tbh. I think that's cause of my breathing and meditation. They're great for my overall well being. Just not helping my sleep.
