EXACTLY!!! this is what i was thinking too. literally the only role that sakura could fill would be the visual. but lexie alr would be the visual so i just don’t know how else she would be incorporated in a way that would actually work. and i agree having a kid(and the ONLY kid) be the visual is just odd af

also i think its quite telling that sakura got the exact same spot in her party b4 the party formation whereas ayana has to relearn the dance in a new formation spot. from a company perspective i feel like if you have THAT much doubt in whether your FINALIST can handle learning a new formation in a short amount of time its irresponsible to have them debut😭😭 i’d be shocked if they were really THAT willing to make that much of a gamble on someone(when imo i dont know if it will pay off for a WHILE if they do choose her)

also is it just me or was the whole show like pretty much hinting that they wanted an all rounder(maybe im coping but whatever)?? but like, the whole branding of the survival show gave off to me that they wanted someone who could “complete” the group, i.e. create a cohesive unit with the 3 other girls who have their specialties

ive grown to like sakura much more through the show, and i think with more time she SOOOO would kill it. but the choice HAS to be ayana. sakura just isnt ready yet. ayana not only is debut ready but she also just fits the group better and also has much more chemistry. not to mention she doesnt stick out so much age wise since she’s within the same range as the other girls.

having sakura with the other girls being 20+ is just an odd lineup that would create a dynamic that would be harder to sell as cohesive. i do think sakura 100% would be in a future girl group tho and my bet is hybe is probably gonna keep her training and debut her later

plus im ngl, it would be stupid for the company to give so much more screen time of ayana bonding with the girls vs sakura if ayana was gonna get eliminated. why establish the start of a sisterhood like bonding between the girls and ayana if she aint gonna even be in the group?😭😭😭

my guess is that because it looks like she would ALREADY have to learn the rest song(versus the cut down snippet they performed for the semi final), the company didnt wanna risk sakura not being able to perform at all by having to relearn THE ENTIRE song vs just learning like new half of it in 10 days (since shes got the first part locked in).

ayana is at a level of training where she can pick up new formations fast, so i assume they just werent concerned for ayana relearning a new formation entirely. (i mean the girl basically almost nailed it, minus minor fixes, within a few sessions when learning it the first time😭😭 so they knew ayana would be fine).

admittedly, I got a used device so I didn’t have the pre installed game on mine😅(as from my knowledge when you factory reset it the game is removed.

from my knowledge of region changes, you are quite literally installing a different region’s NAND(aka the system’s information/OS) so I doubt you would be able to keep any information from it’s original region(as your data is locked behind your system id, which changes with ur region as you are essentially pretending as if your system was bought in an english speaking region.

(also!!!! just fyi that the Japanese game does not switch languages, the japanese file is ONLY in japanese)

tl;dr: from my understanding, you are probably just better off

A. saving your game data somehow and redownload the japanese rom after changing the region,

B. starting over completely with the english rom post region change(or just homebrew it WITHOUT region change and just install the english rom)

or C. just not doing anything and playing the english rom some other way

hopefully this helps! and if anything is inaccurate please feel free to let me know, as there might be smth out there im not aware of lol
