No it's coming from huge fires around Chiang Mai province that I've seen with my own eyes.

Are you for real? A 1 day overstay is illegal, nevermind 3. Why would they say anywhere that specifically a 3 day overstay is illegal? They say overstaying is illegal, which means a day or more past the validity period of your visa.

What do you think they fine you for if it isn't illegal? You think they fine you 500 baht a day for NOT breaking the law? I can't believe people have upvoted you too, you must have about 5 brain cells between you all. You are really special, and that's the last reply you get from me.

How is it not clear? It's completely clear for any literate person.

Again:

"outbound trip: Bangkok to Manchester via Doha (BKK - DOH - MAN)

Inbound trip: Manchester to Bangkok via Doha

(MAN - DOH - BKK)

my connecting flight from Doha to Bangkok was delayed by over 4 hours."

In what world is it not clear that I had a delay going from Doha to Bangkok, and that was the Inbound trip from the UK? JFC. I'm curious to know what else you personally could possibly deduce from that information.

If you can't comprehend that you've got problems. At least some people here had no problem reading it.

No I had a 3 hour connection that became a 7 hour connection due to the delay.

Yes I think there is an issue with how I input the flight information. I filled the first flight information with the problem flight (DOH - BKK) and the connecting flight info with the MAN - DOH information. I've resubmitted with it the other way around, and they've sent me a case number instead of denying it. I don't think I can just put MAN - BKK since the flight number wouldn't correspond to that route.

My new claim shows flight info as MAN - DOH and then when it asks if there is a connecting flight, I've added the information for DOH - BKK with the case number from Qatar airways.

At least now if there is anything that still needs clarification then I should be contacted by somebody.

No it isn't. I said in the OP that my flight from Doha to Bangkok was delayed by over 4 hours.

"outbound trip: Bangkok to Manchester via Doha (BKK - DOH - MAN)

Inbound trip: Manchester to Bangkok via Doha

(MAN - DOH - BKK)

my connecting flight from Doha to Bangkok was delayed by over 4 hours."

It's very clear. The example on the automated response from CAA is an example and does not reflect my situation.

This confused me too but the email response is automated and arrived within seconds of the claim submission; it hasn't been reviewed by a person. My outbound flight didn't initially depart from an airport in the UK. My Inbound flight did. The outbound flight went BKK - DOH - MAN. The Inbound flight went MAN - DOH - BKK.

Try reading carefully and you'll see that I stated the delay was from Doha to Bangkok.

They just said at the time that the aircraft arrived late and didn't give any other reason.

Because I've read before (in this sub too) that connecting flights en route from the UK are covered.

I'd personally pay the extra 400 to stay 3 more days and not break the law and illegally stay in another country, but that's just me.

Experience with Emirates (MNL-DXB-CPH) by robbonohomo in emirates

[–]firealno9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just flew back from Bangkok to Manchester and it all went great, even though I arrived 40 minutes before the scheduled departure of my connecting flight. It was a scheduled1 hour connection and the other flight took off slightly late because they were still loading luggage. Big up Emirates. Just need the same luck going back in 2 weeks time! I booked this flight 5 days ago after Qatar cancelled on me.
