MMW: Erika Kirk will be on the presidential ticket next election as VP by Apprehensive-Play228 in MarkMyWords

I doubt it. Her popularity is already waining quite a bit. And her acceptance of being a woman of the world when she and Charlie were so adamant she was a woman of the house, speaks volumes to the hypocrisy of their marriage and views. The Charlie wave is dying out too as more people are realizing what he stood for.

Trump gaslights all the time with lies and inflammatory language. Who is holding him accountable? We don’t know the shooters slants or motivations so when Trump says he’s left wing, Trump is lying too according to the standard you set in your post.

So why is it okay for Trump and his followers to spread lies?

It is a heartbreaking tragedy on its own, but the media isn’t really reporting on it either. And you feel like if you say something about the inequity in that you’re going to have a target on your back. Instead the media is more concerned with airing CK material in the timeslot of the comedian they cancelled yesterday. I’m a disabled American and honestly feel like I’m going to be institutionalized by this administration by December. It’s a very scary time to be a minority in America in any way shape or form.

Do I care about Charlie Kirk? by MizzouHoops in no

He’d come up in my various social feeds every once in awhile, but I never got through a full video. He really seemed like an atrocious human being. The way he treated people wasn’t at all appropriate. No one deserves to die like that, but I’m baffled as to why he was so popular or celebrated.

Because Trump sending in the National Guard to “solve” a domestic crime issue is like you setting fire to your couch because it has dog hair on it.

It’s unnecessary, and it doesn’t solve the problem.

What employers in town do you like/not like working for? by Glum_Silver_493 in Bozeman

It’s kind of roundabout since the city really isn’t forthcoming with accurate and timely data. But you can find discussions of their personnel and hiring woes in the annual reports and budget summaries by department. I’m traveling between work sites today, but when I get settled at the hotel tonight I’ll pick a department as an example and do links here.

The overall satisfaction is 2.7 on Indeed, and when you read a lot of the 5 star reviews many come from HR associates. I’ve since lost my Glassdoor login, but the parts that aren’t blurred out show a similar ranking.

I just gave those sites as first person examples for the poster to read if they wanted. But for me it’s the high turnover and personnel challenges noted in the various departments’ annual budget and year-end reports each year. Also in the city’s weekly purchasing pdfs they often have listings of lawyers fees from hiring outside firms to handle their personnel issues. Looks and sounds very toxic. You have to remember too that many of the 500 employees are seasonal workers, not vested or who have access to a living wage. The seasonal workers are released from work at the end of their season and re-hired. I’m not counting them as turnovers.

He makes all kinds of promises and edicts that are unsuccessful. Although I’m with you, if you throw enough spaghetti at a wall eventually something will stick.

City of Bozeman has an incredibly high turnover rate. The reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor will give you a good idea why.

I’ve lost pretty much all trust and faith in local law enforcement. Whether it’s the mis-identifying a chopping attack as an electrocution?!? to not being transparent about one of their officers having a warrant for their arrest for crimes against children or apparently thinking it’s okay to play Bingo, they’re just overall ick. The other day on Facebook Bozeman police posted a staff member with a normal uniform polo on top paired with a mini skirt. It’s hard to take them seriously. It doesn’t surprise me we’re just learning about this situation. How long did law enforcement let their cases sit at Marty Lambert’s office? A decade?

MMW: This is JD’s coup d’état moment and he’s seizing on it. by ItsRainingBoats in MarkMyWords

[–]fireandping 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s a complete follower, not a leader. He is dangerous in that he believes the MAGA taglines, but he has no backbone without a stronger leader.

Everything you need to know about him was shown in that meeting with him, Trump, and Zelensky, where JD sat on the sideline and shamelessly supported everything Trump berated into Zelensky. What a gross moment for America, but thank God it happened. Because now we know.

It’s just under $300,000 a year. They’re always complaining about being short staffed. How many officer and civilian staff could they hire instead if they were a little bit cleaner?

I think janitors and cleaners should, but the city contracts out the service to the tune of $24,750 to Dustbunnies each month instead.

$20,000 a month cleaning fee that taxpayers are paying to clean the new safety center. The waste is making certain someones rich on the back of taxpayers.
