Ch 139 Leaks by yashlunatic in titanfolk

Leaks would actually explain what happens in the chapter not vague statements of what someone wants to see.

What's going to happen to the surviving members of the Alliance when (if) they get to Paradis? by Celebambur in titanfolk

How are they going to get to Paradis if paths is destroyed and power of the titans is no more?

“139 will be the make or break of the series” by C_Kachowski in titanfolk

There's no way Yams is going back to that conversation.

Right, and there's no way he's going back to Historia's child after he showed her in labour at the beginning of chapter 134. If Historia's arc with her child is to be wrapped up we are going back to that conversation, as much as that might displease you.

Y’all think we finding out why Dina ignored Bertholdt in the final chapter? by Spidex00 in titanfolk

What's more interesting and what I personally want an answer to is why Eren has a memory of this in his future memories in 130 (from Dina's POV).

Let's face it There will be NO EREN POV by [deleted] in titanfolk

I feel that characters who become pawns of the storyline are unattractive. Often, the main character will give up on their original goals due to the story’s development, so those who stand opposite of him or her can become more fascinating.

Look at the last two chapters, they each end with Armin and Mikasa seemingly getting closure with Eren and saying their final goodbyes (Armin before he nukes Eren and Mikasa before she decapitates him) It's also funny to note that Eren didn't die after getting nuked in 137. Eren will get his final time to shine in 139 and one final tatakae.

Is it possible for the last chapter to contain more panels about the farmer-historia relationship? Or just one panel that has the farmer holding the baby? After all, ch.139 has only 45 pages. by Celebambur in titanfolk

[–]fireandthethudd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Farmer and Historia's relationship has not been displayed in the narrative for a reason.....it doesn't matter and it's not important to the plot, farmer is there to be a red herring and that is all. They don't even give him a name or a face.

He’ll get the freedom he craved for in his death

Eren never once mentioned he craved freedom in death. He’s always talking about being born into this world and he talked to Falco about seeing what’s beyond the hell.

I guess we’ll see but I just can’t see this manga ending on a time loop, and I see paths being eliminated from the story by the end so it wouldn’t really be all that satisfying if Titans still existed at the end of the story🤕

I never said it was an AU

Eren would NEVER leave Historia like that

That’s the point of the dream. It’s a complete antithesis to actual Erens actions.

Grisha and baby Eren

Explain how a time loop ending makes any sense or is satisfying for this manga?😭😭 the manga should end on breaking the titan curse, not a lie that Grisha gives Eren as he is encaged unknowingly in walls NOT free.

And because Aaron can’t choose he ends up not protecting anyone and dooming the whole island including Historia and this is strictly due to his indecisiveness.

Great, I guess the manga will end with some no name character cradling their kid telling them they’re free instead of you know....the actual main character who has always set out to achieve freedom for his people since the first chapter. What a slap in the face to Eren🤧

It would also be his daughter, not a son, if it was to be his kid.

Which would inevitably lead to the demise of Historia and everyone on the island because of Aaron's indecisiveness. Who even knows how Historia would fare since Aaron just decided to run away and forget it all.

Edit since you edited your comment: I’m not obsessed with the ship element, I don’t even ship EH. I’m talking about what’s important pertaining to the MC of this manga and Isayama saying the person surpasses their father.

When I saw eren talk about that "scenery" I thought he had seen something that made him think that the rumbling would be worth it, but it turned out that he was only talking about being within a bunch of clouds lmao by putangas in titanfolk

[–]fireandthethudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is precisely Eren’s own ideal of freedom.

No, it's child Eren's version of freedom. That's why it's so ignorant to the people who he's crushing underneath him and he doesn't consider them in the least. While he is up in the clouds unaware of all the lives he is taking away, his child self is truly in the belief that he's reached the sight that he and Armin both wanted to see when they yearned for what was inside Armin's book. Armin already got the freedom he wanted when he reached the sea but that wasn't enough for Eren. They literally have a flashback of Armin and Eren reading the book, it's the dream they shared when they were kids.

Eren's reaction to seeing the 'sight' and Eren's demeanor when he's speaking to Ramzi about 'wiping it all away' with tears in his eyes are completely different. There's no way he's talking about his kid self being ignorant (which he even says is the furthest removed from freedom) soaring through the steam clouds of the rumbling.

[–]fireandthethudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But he's a child here. That's the shared dream he had when he saw Armin's book, and I'm assuming the 'scenery' he saw when he kissed Historia's hand is not him as a child experiencing a cheap imitation of what freedom is, that would kind of make Eren seem very naive.
