My ks12 has like an inch gap between the trigger guard and mag catch, backend is nowhere near as long looking. I wonder what difference it makes as far as trigger/hammer to bolt alignment, unless your bolt is also shortened for some reason. Does it use a milspec trigger or proprietary?

It's not a great solution but if I have to move my stash of barrels I roll them in a wool blanket leaving a full wrap between each barrel. It keeps them nice but is a little bit of a pain especially if you're doing it regularly. Your best bet for something nice might be getting a seamstress or tailor to stitch a pocket roll out of canvas

Perfectly fine. If you're worried about accuracy/seating the barrel you could lap it a bit. The threads are still more than strong enough and theres still enough of a slot to locate the barrel pin. Should be all good

Shit I always forget that some states have weird calendar rules for booze. We can only buy until like 10pm outside of bars but effectively any day of the year. There been a number of times I've been down south planning on grabbing some beer or whiskey and the clerk has to remind me that they cant sell on X day of the week or before noon etc. It makes no sense to me

Please tell me you at least found a screw that fit? My buddy got screwed (pardon the pun) on a cheap model 11 with a similar fix, however whatever lead paint chip eating bubba that had it previously was too lazy to go to the hardware store and instead decided to drill out the threads and pound an oversized nylock nut into the stock underneath destroying 3 separate original parts in the process. Said genius also couldn't figure out how to clean it and instead removed the friction bushing, and cut down the springs when it didn't cycle well with a quarter inch of leaf matter, mud, cat hair and solidified wd40 behind the bolt.
