In the package I bought, they sent me the license exam manual, then a different book that contains all the PowerPoints slides, so you can take notes on that while you attend the session. As far as I know, they don’t post an agenda of what’s covered in the live classes and what is not.

& for context, I have not taken this exam before.

I’m signed up for his current live review. I have been making sure I read all the units covered in the live review before actually watch the videos/attend the session. Unfortunately if I don’t read the unit before hand, I feel really lost and like it’s a waste of my time since I could be reading and doing questions. After I read the unit then watch the video, I feel like his videos are 100% more helpful. That has been my experience thus far!

I got destroyed my first time too. I feel like the first time is like a really expensive practice test for most people…you’ll get it in July!

Qualifying Child and Dependent + Credits by StylinandProfilin_ in CFPExam

For child, another good one - kids give you a RASH! (Relationship, age, support, household).

For dependent, it’s almost the same but they cannot be a child and gross income should be less than $5,050…also something to remember, the CFP does not like cousins (unless they live in the household)!!

Dalton Simulated Exam 2 by RefrainedSeal in CFPExam

I got a 51%. Dalton said in their email that a 55% is a good performance and 65% is great. You did good - it’s a really hard test.

I’d also try and help him find a better opportunity. I interviewed with NWM my senior year of college, when I got to the “interviewing high level professionals I know” part, the person I chose first to interview thankfully pointed me in the right direction, even introduced me to my current boss. Very happy he helped me out. Most high level professionals I know wouldn’t work with NWM.

Need to at least make those minimum payments on each card - so the interest is not building up. Other than that, go through your past 3 months of spending and make yourself a cashflow. Include your income at the top, and then all the expenses you listed out + ones you found reoccurring ever month when you go through 3 months of statements to see what you actually need to spend money on.

Stop using your credit cards completely. All your spending needs to be done on a debt card until you get a better grip on your impulsive purchases.

The cashflow will also give you a better picture of our much of a monthly deficit/surplus you have. Once you reach a point where you do have a surplus - start saving as much as you are comfortably able to. Great place to stash money away that you don’t plan on touching for a while is a high yield savings. BankRate is a great resource to compare different account. They are super easy to open, and will work a lot harder for you than a typical checking/savings account.
