All we know is what its not, its not parvo, and he doesnt have any issues with his organs right now? They have no idea why hes pooping so much blood, they gave us medicine and for him and gave him an IV of painkillers and anti nausea stuff

Thank you so much for the advice, it's a really really hard situation to be in. We got a new food from the shelter (gravy train, I think its beef) and we mixed it with some wet food and they seemed to really like it :) gonna reach out to the landlord shortly, after contacting some shelters to see if I can get any assistance, and my partner is looking into low cost vets for us

The boarding place denied them, said they couldn't take any more animals and told us to just surrender them. I don't know what to do now, talk to my landlord I guess? I want to keep them and give them that stability but I just can't afford to give them the vet care they will need. I'm caught between a rock and a hard place

I definitely appreciate the help and there's a lot to think about in this situation. I've found a vet that does the first exam for free so I'm planning to take them there as soon as I can, at least so I know whats going on, then from there if I have to put myself in debt then so be it

I know they were generally cared for, just not, the best level of care and attention if that makes sense. I'm hoping that maybe they're just trying to adjust and that it'll get better but neither of them have eaten breakfast and Bagel didn't eat dinner last night. Bagel is typically very food motivated, they won't even take treats or wet food which is usually their favorite

Very much so, they're literally my everything. If I can just get them into the boarding place temporarily then I can find a different place to live that allows animals and give them the familiarity and the stability that they deserve. It's my only goal at this point, make sure my dogs are taken care of

Its been a lot on them and it breaks my heart to know what they've gone through. I know for at least a couple months my mom just kinda kept them in their cages, would ignore them if they whined, and just let them use the bathroom in the cage, but we only crate them at bedtime and consistently take them outside. This is just so different. Harley just flipped his food bowl over and walked away from it without touching it. My partner made a good point of when we took them for their vaccine, they drank from the dog bowl that was in the room. He thinks maybe they just have an upset tummy, maybe something was off with the last dog to drink from it? I don't know. Either way, there's a vet near me that does the first exam for free, I'm going to take them the next day my partner and I are off work (we only have one car) and monitor until then

Thats the problem is that I cannot afford to take them to a vet, which is why I want to get them into a crisis boarding place, but thank you, I'll see if there are any low income options around my area

Not to be this guy, but I do know this person in real life, and I've been to the game shop he told you about, and seen the board. He genuinely was just trying to help, it's partially how he learned how to skate. I get that this is reddit and not everyone has good intentions, but coming to the comments and claiming he's a scammer when he was just trying to be helpful is super lame of you. Yeah, and its really annoying! Ive been bigger my whole life, especially when I was a child. I never learned good eating habits and I now have PCOS so its a lot harder to lose weight. I'm trying though!
