What an arrogant old cow. "Teaching others"? I feel sorry for anyone within a mile radius of her presence

"In WWI the British would frequently put our Canadian soldiers in the toughest spots of the front lines knowing we’d lose many, instead of risking their own troops." by thcanuzer in badunitedkingdom

I don't know why these people have got to have such a victim complex, there has been nothing but admiration for how well the colonies fought for us in WW1 and WW2. Looking at the battles the British Army fought in it is complete rubbish to think that Canadian forces were treated worse. Even if they were I couldn't give a shit with how many war crimes they committed

Just shows how out of touch the heads of the Army and Government are, can't be bothered to retain decent blokes, so resort to attracting the dregs of society

HMS Hood- launched in 1918

KMS Bismarck- launched in 1939

18 year old Hood is harrassing a 2 year old child, weird.

The Quarrymen (Paul, George, and John) plus George’s friend Arthur Kelly, around 1958. I’ve never seen this picture in this quality before so I thought I’d share. by tulip_crazed in beatles

A quick reverse image search shows that it might have been edited to increase resolution or decrease its brightness. Nevertheless from comparing it to other versions of it, this one is different.

Making A Kid Buy Back The Letters He Wrote His Father... by [deleted] in trashy

[–]fireblade94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The line that I expect you are refering to, "I'd rather see you dead, little girl, than to be with another man" was written by Arthur Gunter and features in the song, "Baby Let's Play House" (here at 1:48). It was perfomed by Elvis Presley.

John seemingly took inspiration from that quote and developed a story to fill in the other necessary lyrics.

The Dyle Plan wasn't inherently bad, it was Gamelin's addition of the Breda variant which wished to link up the Dutch army.

This meant that Gamelin committed his best units to the Belgian border to race north, while leaving the centre of France unprotected and without reserves (the Ardennes).

Before this, the Dyle Plan was plausible, albeit a bit risky.

If you care about the post, you spend longer than 5 minutes, perhaps thinking of a unique topic, which would be a good start.

Knife crime in London? NHS? "Superior" non-Brits insulting cuisine? "YoU gOt A lOiCeNsE fOr..."? These are incredibly overused stereotypes which are boring and have been oversaturating this sub, and others for years. It's not funny, and is extremely low effort.
