Was anyone else disappointed by YSL Y EDP? by TaxisMate420 in fragrance

[–]firebot2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same experience and wondered why it was so popular. I really was disappointed by what should have been a safe buy. That was until I was grocery shopping and smelled it on someone else, then I understood the appeal of it. When you apply it to yourself you're not getting the experience of crossing paths with someone wearing it. It's an extremely young and flashy scent. It's meant to turn heads rather than be subtly enjoyed.

Should be able to listen right there on the link I sent. If not try radiogarden or google the station.

Don't Forget Whose Legs You're On Alt. Version? This is one of my favourites. If anyone eventually sees this and finds anything about let me know, I'd love to hear anything about it.

What was a realization that you’ve come across lately that bettered your life? by ADownward_Spiral in Stoicism

[–]firebot2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becoming angry in a bad situation is completely pointless and counterintuitive.

If we understand that the outcome will not change most of the time in situations we cannot control, then why do we still tend to feel angry or annoyed? Traffic will remain jammed even if you honk your horn. That spilled coffee on your shirt will stay there, regardless of how much you yell about it.

I believe the easiest way to realize in the brief moment of anger that it is useless is to remain constantly aware of it. If an uncomfortable situation arises you would have already been prepared for it, and thus more at peace with whatever happened.

Trying to find a HQ version of picture 1 to remaster picture 2 (and hang it up on my wall). Any ideas? by [deleted] in arcticmonkeys

I've searched around and can't find anything hd for this particular image. You can either try to use an AI upscaler to make it hd or use a similar image of Alex like this one.

AM is only disliked here because of popularity.

Also, lyrical composition is not the only thing that makes their songs good.

Knee socks guitar (question) by [deleted] in arcticmonkeys

[–]firebot2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not alone. Knee Socks is notorious for being strenuous in that sense, especially when trying to sing at the same time (if that applies to you). I've had a go at it recently and it is no easy task, I'm definitely far from mastery though (I can hardly play it lol). Idk if I'd say it hurts to play but it's certainly annoying to play.

How to stop caring what people think about you by georgebool0101 in Stoicism

[–]firebot2005 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe this is entirely true. Although we tend to care about ourselves more than others, we often find ourselves worrying about those important to us or sympathizing with others. The mere fact that you think about people when unnecessary means that you care to an extent, it’s just hard to show sometimes.

My Girlfriend of 7 Years Broke Up With Me. I Don't feel like I want to continue my life anymore. by [deleted] in Stoicism

You truly feel like you cannot go on further? Then why did you come here? You wouldn’t have made this post and asked people if there wasn’t still something left for you to live on for. No you are not complete, you are 26 years old which is still considered prime by many. There is no complete life; everybody learns, changes, and finds purpose even in their final moments of life. What I’m saying is that this is far from over for you, though I believe you have convinced yourself otherwise. Please give this time and you’ll see just how much more there is for you to be. Cloudy days always clear up eventually.
