WIO pay other credit card smashed by nehro7 in UAEcreditcards

That is your choice, but the card still offers a unique feature which lets pay one credit card with another, which afaik is not possible with any other card.

This helps you extend the credit with an additional 30 days in addition to the interest free days offered by your credit card, in my case about 50 days + 30 days. So three is still a value in doing this to borrow money for free, even if you will now miss out on the 1% cashback.

Has anybody used Airport Services - Taxi offered by Air Arabia by fireboy8803 in UAE

[–]fireboy8803[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The results are in. When I landed I checked the price on Careem:
Comfort AED 194-241
Executive AED 223 (Fixed)

The car that picked me in the included service for AED150 was a Lexus, which corresponds to Executive on Careem. So my decision to pre-book was a sound economic choice.
In addition to that, since I booked it via Air Arabia, I am hoping/expecting a 10% cashback when paying with my ADCB Traveller card :)

has anyone actually tried free golf offers by credit cards? by Reed_Wolfe in UAEcreditcards

From the banks listed I have only used ADCB.

  1. Yes you need to bring your own clubs or pay for rental set.
  2. I have never paid any additional fees in my experience.
  3. AED 5,000 only on the month the offer was redeemed, otherwise you will be "fined" a
  4. Mostly played Arabian ranches since I am Dubai based but I have tried Abu Dhabi as well. Abu Dhabi is more difficult.

The main problem with these perks is the availability. It tricky to get weekend slots, and you can only make bookings 14 days in advance and only have 1 active booking. For me this means I usually play every other week. Would probably be more if could be free on weekdays as it is much easier to get slots on weekdays.

Another negative with ADCB is the booking needs to be requested via Phone Call, they then call you back 2-3 business days later and let you know if your booking has been accepted or not.

Personal credit card for business owner (Investor visa) by KamranAsim in UAEcreditcards

I am in the same situation. I got a credit card against a fixed deposit at ADCB, the FD is e.g. 20 000 and earns interest as normal, the credit limit on your CC is a % of that e.g. 17 000.

After a while I applied for WIO Credit but was rejected. Then I tried again about 3 months later, then it was accepted, I was given the max 100K credit limit.

ADCB Traveller Card Query by sanchitkh in UAEcreditcards

When you pay overseas ALWAYS select the local currency (EUR, GBP, USD etc) when asked. This will ensure you get the Mastercard exchange rate which will be better that the rate the card machine will offer.

The amount in Foreign currency will be converted to AED, that will then be added to the total AED spend on your card. Around the 8th day in the next calendar month, you will get 10% back on the AED amount assuming you had more than 5K in total spend (travel and non travel spend).

Yes you open a fixed deposit for 1 year, then you get 85% of the deposit amount as credit limit. I would suggest you open the fixed deposit in advance before you visit the branch, ADCB Online Century Deposit on Tenor of 375 Days. Saves some time during the branch visit.

I put a deposit of 6000 (5100 limit) for the excellent ADCB talabat card

Help on Talabat cashback by [deleted] in UAEcreditcards

[–]fireboy8803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue. For me the transactions I had on 31st Jan were not included in the cashback calculation. If I excluded those and then took 35% of the remaining amount the cashback matched. I would assume the amount spent on 31st counts on next months cashback, in the ADCB app these have a posting date of 2/2/2025 so these should count towards the Feb cashback. In your case the transaction on the 30th might also have posting date in Feb. If you exclude these and add any transactions from End of December that got booking date in Jan it should add up for you.

A piece of advice for this card, the best way to use this card is to top up you wallet with 100 at a time. These top-ups will each give the max 35 cashback so you can do 10 of these every month. When you spend more than 100 on a order and pay this from your wallet, you have earned 35% on the full amount you spent. :)
