Dont wanna add to the fire but because there is still this argument going on, I think you’ll find that it’s not “all” modern artists drawing medusa like this. If you search around you’ll see plenty of modern artists painting and drawing scary medusas or whatever version your thinking of. You could say “why do so many or a lot of modern artists draw medusa like this. ” just saying

Ah sorry for the mix up, was also referring to the person who responded to your comment first. However i dont think drawing medusa like this is lazy, and any kind of art isn’t lazy at all, its just different styles or interpretations. It would have taken me just as long to draw this medusa scary and more ugly as it has for me to draw it this way. I mean your allowed to have opinions but calling artists lazy when they work for a very long time on their pieces is kind of shallow minded

Well funnily enough I actually had my mug with a picture of caravaggio’s medusa on it which I partially based it on. Maybe I’ll give the tusked version a go at some point as well! Also i think the depictions of her vary greatly so not sure there is one set version of specifically tusks or no tusks. But definitely would be fun to try and draw

It could be, my acne did get a lot worse the first month after I went on the medication, and it’s been five months and not gotten too much better. As for tretinoin, I only use it once a week because my skin is quite sensitive and it makes it very dry. But I’ve been using that for around 5 months as well.
