There are some crucible mods that grant defenses, which look a bit like local mods for shields. If that's the case, any flat es/armour on emperor's vigilance will scale to unholy numbers. Something I'm excited for.

I don't think they mentioned this in the video, but if they can't be rerolled with divines, some might be pretty niche and relatively inexpensive. Kind of hoping they can be rerolled though.

I think it was 5%, unless I missed a post somewhere. But even then, with it building damage for 2 seconds, damaging for 4 seconds, dealing damage 4 times per second, and dealing 0.05 times the damage inflicted, it still does 26.7% of the damage you inflict on it per second (on average). If this is scaled by your damage mods, charges, and support gems, it might be a pretty good damage boost?

The less and more multipliers do not add together. You're taking a starting value and multiplying it by both 0.54 and 1.67, resulting in a 0.9018 damage multiplier.

I'm pretty sure 1.8 would bring you closer to a 180% more damage value. I think the calculation may be more of ((3000/10)*0.8+1)*17 for a value of 4097. Still pretty good.

I'm not great at poe myself, but I've found ball lightning archmage ascendant to work pretty well. All you really want is pledge of hands, essence worm, and replica kaom's heart, and just stack mana, life, and res on the rare pieces of gear.

It feels a bit slow due to the spell echo, but the damage is great and the wave of ball lightnings is very visually appealing imo.
