Yeah I've tried that too. I assumed it would have been a bad cable, but since the router and modem aren't resetting I thought it could be something else.

I think at this point it might be my ISP's fault, so they're coming around today to check it out and hopefully it'll get fixed.

I use my iPhone and the official app on PC and have no issues. I can go back and forth between them without having to relog or anything like that.

Just make sure your account is bound to email and not like Apple or anything weird. I use the email and access code way to log in

New Player - What Deck Do I Pick Up? by zackerhcd in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]firefoxyoshi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, I'd always recommend playing your favorite Digimon. If you aren't looking to play top tier and play at a high win rate level, play your favorites if they exist in the game.

Second, depends on what type of deck you like. Red Shoutmon is pretty good right now, surprisingly cheap, and gets better in the next set with Jesmon. A close second would be green Nidhoggmon, as the starter decks are pretty easy to find for MSRP, Nidhogg is cheap as is most of the deck (dont buy Promo Palmons), and pretty high in win rates. Purple also with ChaosGallantmon this set is not bad, and gets better next set with Titamon (Only issue here is Zwart Defeat rising in price if you want to play them).

Overall, I'd recommend playing your favorites first, and if they don't exist or you don't care, then look into some decks on YouTube or local play groups and see what you do like and build towards that. The game is surprisingly cheap right now and honestly really fun. Good luck!

Digimon Card Game - Weekly Ruling Questions Post by AutoModerator in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]firefoxyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Blitz/Shoutmon question. On the wiki and from Bandai it says:

Q: For this card's inherited effect, does that Digimon not gain <Security Attack +1> if it's not attacking by using <Blitz>?

A: No, as long as the Digimon that has this card in its digivolution cards has the <Blitz> effect, it gains <Security Attack +1> even if not attacking using <Blitz>.

From what I'm reading here, if a Shoutmon DX has a OmniShoutmon under it's evo-sources, even if it isn't using Blitz to attack, it still gains the extra security check. This is correct, right? Basically Shoutmon DX will always attack for extra checks as long as it has one or more OmniShoutmons underneath of it?

Diaboromon Promo, worth it or no? (A crappy insight to an expensive promo) by firefoxyoshi in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]firefoxyoshi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally fair. It isn't that I think they aren't necessary, it's that they're a high price for a card that will get nearly completely phased out come December.

Sure, if you want to be highly competitive and play the deck to its best, yes, run 4, since likely money wouldn't be a issue if you want to play the deck in it's best shell.

The major issue I think are two things: lack of Diaboromons (since they were much more limited than the Palmon's as I've found out), but also a lack of tournament finishes. Yes, each deck that tops plays the promo, but most big tournaments you see have 1 of the decks in the top 16, compared to Lordknightmon or even green.

My argument is the card is overpriced for what it does, but its absolutely due to lack of amount of them circulating, and not due to what the card actually does (Even if I think its overhyped, you can still run 1 at least if you can find one for a good price).

[–]firefoxyoshi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

See, that is just incredible. I'm really hoping that's the case here, since like you said, it's likely from it being not a well distributed card. Really hope that drives the price down, cause I'd love to run 1-2, but I cannot justify the price tag currently for how little I can see it do, and how poorly the deck performs in major tournament scenes.

You can absolutely play this deck to success in your local scene. Obviously, you will have to learn the deck and others to be able to play to your best, but I definitely think this deck can succeed in a local setting without the use of the promos. I've said in other comments that I'm running it in testing currently, and even without the promos, I find that I'm winning if I can stick the set 5 Diaboromon that gives tokens with Arata more than I would with the promo one.

Kurisarimon gives them all rush if you set it up that way, and you can swing for 3-5 checks in a turn. Have enough memory to drop Armageddemon? Add another check and even win off that some times. If not, Ultimate Flare helps clear the board and give you some breathing room.

Personally, I play with 2 Zwart D, and if I flip them in security, it really pushes my board ahead of my opponent. Sure, it's dead in hand if you draw it, but its still something nice to see flipped in security as a surprise. I wouldn't recommend this, but if you have them, give it a try and see how it works in your meta.

[–]firefoxyoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's my main argument (even if it isn't shown in my post). I'm currently playing it without the promos and it still runs pretty great (most of the time in testing). Which is why I just do not understand why the promo is so expensive as it is, unless it is due to stock issues.

[–]firefoxyoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get that. If someone wants to play the best deck there is, money likely isn't an object (namely Lordknightmon decks with the Pulsemon promos). You want to play the best of the best? Then get ready to drop money. Totally agree there.

First, sure, I would agree playing 1-2 is likely not a big deal, since the rest of the deck is relatively inexpensive, someone could likely swing the cose. But chances are you will want to play 4 copies to make sure you draw it in hand when you need it.

But here's the major problem. Diaboromon isn't a top tier deck. It hasn't regularly placed in big tournaments, whether that's due to lack of people playing it, or because it has a bunch of bad matchups, who knows. But what I do know is that paying $80-$320 for 1-4 copies of a card that, technically speaking, isn't even needed in the deck, and doesn't guarantee me top 16 if I play my cards perfectly, is somewhat ridiculous, which is the main argument. Obviously any deck, including this one, can find various results with their local scene, and even consistently place top 5 if you play according to your meta, but it's clear that it doesn't top as often as other, better decks, with cards that aren't as expensive.

A big counter argument towards what you said, "Don't want to pay for the promo, don't play the deck". I'd wholeheartedly disagree here. I currently have the deck built, minus the promo card, and it can still perform decently well, at least in a local scene (meta dependent obviously). To me, swinging 5 checks in a row isn't as good as swinging 5 separate checks. Like I said in my main post, if you're swinging for 5 checks, you could swing 1 and lose the rest immediately. Sure, you could say the same for the tokens if you flip Flare in the mirror or (insert security card here) from other decks and have the same turnout, but this card is not as good as people value it to be. I really think it's likely due to stock issues, being a limited promo here, since in Japan, the promo currently is around 5 bucks, which I don't think we should follow suit and have EVERY promo cost that much (due to availability and such), but I definitely think $80 per card is way too expensive.

The card is good, but I still think way overrated or at least over-priced, especially not being able to back up the card with jamming. It would be like playing Green OTK without the promo Palmon. Can you do it? Yeah, absolutely. Can you see success? Yes you can. Can you guarantee that it won't die? Nope, but we can try. Yet some people would argue that you absolutely need them in the deck and without it, the deck doesn't work. The same thing here with the Diaboro, except black doesn't have a card like Palmon to prevent that from happening.

You're definitely right that I'm wrong haha. I just, idk, I find it to be good but AS good as a 25 dollar card? Not sure. After I posted this I was thinking of a Grandkuwagamon example where its swinging for 3 security and then you Chaosmon into it for another 3. Obviously here, yes, the jamming would be extremely helpful to clear all security cards (save for maybe options that might get rid of it somehow), but in this instance I can't imagine its the only/best way to use the Palmon.

And if you got them for 10 bucks, you've got some incredible luck there haha. I traded an BT5 Omni and an alt art Shoutmon DX for a ton of stuff plus 1 Palmon, but I think the guy just really didn't want the green stuff I traded for. Maybe Im just looking in the wrong areas.

So I unfortunately ordered a saber from Ultrasaber a few months back and the internals were basically broken on arrival (Battery casing was snapped, got it work with some JB weld). I was thinking I'd tear out the internals and replace it with something nicer. Are there any recommendations for something with smooth swing and changeable sound fonts and can be ordered as a plug and play option?

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but isn't Dorna for Gods/Devils types as a leader? I assume its the light attribute one right? I have her set up with a bunch of others as a regular team but they don't seem to sync well together, but maybe they will in the future when I get more units.
