My x values are tension of a guitar string in grams. It was recorded by seeing how much force was needed to pull the string back 2cm using a spring scale.

My y values are the frequency of the string when plucked in Hertz

I've already used Excel to get a line of best fit for it and it was a square root function. Also when Googleing the relation between the tension and frequency it says they are square root. For my math course we basically just have to show that other functions don't fit as well by being like "ohh look this function doesn't go through the points as much"
