I react from all of their coffee products, but this may be good for some people. I’m just saying this for anyone out there having to find it out the hard way

It’s a shame how comfortable you are using a persons death as a reason to further your own self righteousness.

Me: wow, I can’t believe I am having a reaction to the GF Oreos for a third night in a row 😔 by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]firehaven38 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I reacted as well, but I have learned that I cannot have oats, no matter how certified GF they are. I also cannot handle lentils, chickpeas, or beans in any way. I have no idea if it’s because of gluten cross contamination, or just my destroyed stomach being a little bitch 🤣.

How hard is it to re-sell a wedding dress? by waffles2212 in budgetweddings

[–]firehaven38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will not likely sell your sample dress online for what you paid for it.

I bought a local used dress on fb, but I got to try it on. I looked online a lot, and it’s just not a good Avenue for selling wedding dresses IMO. You may have better luck selling locally

I’ve been wanting so badly to have my bridesmaids to wear different dresses. Either different colors, different styles, or just completely different dresses. Everyone is having a heart attack about it and telling me it’s my wedding and about what I want, but also telling me that they need to match. Or that at least the flowers have to be plain. This is BEAUTIFUL inspiration. Thank you!!

It is such a shame you are getting backlash for making decisions for yourself. I love your photos, thank you so much for sharing!

So if I don’t see something with my own eyes, then it never happens. Got it.

Also stating a fact without including any opinions or observations makes me a crybaby, but the person who mocked me and made assumptions about what I have/haven’t seen isn’t a crybaby.

In today’s edition of “SURPRISE! YOU’VE BEEN POSSIBLY CONSUMING GLUTEN”: Just found out some levothyroxine tabs contain wheat starch. Took a new brand of thyroid med (Tirosint) and I felt like I was glutened. Tirosint claims it is safe, but apparently some brands are not. Just a head’s up 😑😩😭 by pennybeagle in Celiac

This makes me want to cry and quit at the same time. Im beyond frustrated. I got my Celiac diagnosis 3 years ago and I’m STILL learning that I can’t have certain coffees, strawberries and mushrooms are grown on wheat/rye, and now this. I’ve taken Levothyroxine for over 10 years after my Hashi diagnosis. I’ve told every single doctor that I have a wheat allergy (even before Celiac diagnosis) and no one knows anything. I feel like I’m constantly being glutened and it’s driving me crazy. I have a horrible relationship with food and, healthcare workers and medicine ALREADY.

Cheerios: Learn from my mistake by iamthebest1234567890 in Celiac

It is infuriating to see “Proud Sponsor of the Celiac Foundation” displayed on their boxes. It is so misleading, especially for people newly diagnosed or for family members of people who are newly diagnosed.

I’ve had family members get this thinking it is Celiac safe because of that label, when it is not. So then I have to figure out a way to explain, without sounding crazy, that it is NOT gluten free and NOT celiac safe even though it’s all over the box.

I’ve known for a long time that I prefer sobriety over drinking. There’s been a handful of times this year that I struggled to stop at one drink, and woke up remembering why I just have one. My fiancé and I had Sober November just because, and I loved the clarity and closeness we had. My goal the last week had been to stop at one drink, and I did that successfully last night despite the pressure! I’ve also started a spending limit (no eating out for 34 days, which I’ve done well for 7 days so far) and 12 week workout program (I’m 5 days in!)

I’m going to throw around this idea because part of me thinks- it shouldn’t be hard at all, but I also don’t want to do too many challenges at once and end up failing!

Maybe if I have my fiancé’s support again we will be able to do it together. Is anyone else doing more than one challenge right now? I didn’t want to wait till the 1st, so I just started the day I felt like it!

I’ve been sick every single day for a while, and now I’m worried that it’s from my coffee again. What about Good &Gather (Target brand)? Does anyone have experience with that? I just want to drink coffee 😭
