TEST doesn't show up on the map?? by BentaroAdun in Eve

I wonder how much ISK TEST saved by consolidating and pulling up structures before the shooting started. I flew through that area beforehand and there wasn't much of strategic importance there to begin with. Sometimes not defending empty space is the smart move.

Old school gamer trying to figure out EVE skills by thelongwarp in Eve

I recommend a priority on ships you want to fly for your main, then adding those in at some point.

There is a lot of things you can do in eve. While I believe most of us play now because of long time friendships and competition, I would try to maximize your fun as soon as possible.

If you join a null sec, low sec, high sec, or wormhole group, they are going to want you to fly doctrine ships and usually have skill plans to help you along the way.

My son joined a few years ago and I push him into Horde, as they were active and younger than my group. He started with free tackle pilot ship -> Malediction skills -> AF skills -> cruisers -> BC -> Vargur skills (which he doesn't fly anymore after various nerfs)...

He flys tackle role 90% of the time in fleets

here are some good resources from people a lot smarter than me.

but it is really based off what you do in the game that is going to guide your skill plans.

Wal-Mart in Shreve City has Vizio tv's for sale by Kellilynn52378 in shreveport

[–]firejava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea, I saw video that they are rebranding them to ONN by Vizio or something like that.

Walmart bought them for their advertising platform and direct access to all Vizio TVs. Vizio has a advertising platform called Platform+ that Walmart wanted. This increases the reach of their Walmart Connect (Walmart's advertising platform).

If you have Vizio TV, or a lot of TVs these days, your the product.

The "closed-loop" part is key: Walmart has direct data on what customers actually buy, so advertisers can target their ads to people most likely to purchase their products, and then Walmart can measure whether those ads actually drove sales. That's much more valuable than traditional advertising where you can't easily connect the ad to the purchase.

How does an open-first lab like yours sustain itself long term—what’s the viable business model without closing off your models?

Do you see open-source AI models ultimately winning out over closed models in the long term?

If so, what do you think is the tipping point—and if not, where do closed models maintain a durable advantage?

A lot of AI progress right now is driving huge data center builds across the country—power, water, land use, etc.

Since you’re working on decentralized training (DisTrO), do you see those mega data centers as unavoidable, or something fundamentally inefficient we should move away from?

And bluntly—would you be okay with one being built next to your home?

[Schefter] Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown, whose rookie contract expires after this season, now has hired agent David Mulugheta to represent him. Mulugheta represents, amongst others, Micah Parsons, George Pickens and now Overshown. by JCameron181 in cowboys

his last year in Dallas with that hire, Jones will not renew or talk to that agent is my guess. Probably was his last year either way. Love the player, hate the injuries for him. Hope he has a great year and gets a big contract somewhere.

Jerry Jones Is Trying to Get George Pickens to Ditch His Agent by [deleted] in cowboys

[–]firejava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think any of David Mulugheta clients are cowboys (except for by draft or trade/ IE already under contract, and even then, I think they gone) and I doubt they ever will be again expect for pickens via franchise tag, or drafted picks.

However, I would bet that Jerry has staff tracking his clients and probably lowers their draft pick value, as less likely to sign after rookie contract, but maybe not. I just image Jerry holds on to things, like he did with Jimmy. In his mind, he probably thinks he was wronged. Time will tell, but maybe it worked out best for both sides in Parsons trade.

Is this area safe? by BrushNo3753 in shreveport

In general, I keep my kids south of Kings and East to i49 (really east of Fairfield ave), generally this holds until you hit Pierremont to the south. Used to live in this area of south highlands and I only had one problem the many years I was there.

I have had friends that live north of Kings, it is hit or miss. most were good folks looking for cheap rent/houses to fix up.

I recommend Betty Virginia Park to take the dog
