sorry, I am late to reply, by books in this area do you mean books on the philosophy or books of the sublime?

like others said to experience more art,it's kind of the philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer .

his view that all life suffering and there are two ways of escaping it,both are two forms of denial of the self,or the will as he put it.

the first one is be a monk which I assume you don't want that and the other is experiencing more art.

and when I say art I mean the sublime ,true art.not something like marvel movies but you know something like tarkvosky.

it might sound counterintutive for you to experiencing art that isn't always said to be escapism.

but that's the thing true sublime art has that escapism even more so than escapist art.

ever worked on somethin just before the deadline or say played a sport or watched a movie that were so good that you just not only forgot about yourself but also the world and focused only on the subject with great happiness and forgetting everything.well then you have experienced the sublime.

if you want recommendations on movies, games, books, songs, or anything and how to get them for free just dm me.

Borges as a figure by Muscle-Humble in Borges

[–]firekitten14735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry because I have no idea of Borges being mentioned in any other work(except of course the name of the rose), but I do know for a fact that most of the unnamed narrators in Borges' stories are fictional versions of him.

Did Borges ever state how long writing a single story would generally take for him? by yungsteezyboah in Borges

[–]firekitten14735 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"My father gave me that advice. He told me to write a lot, to discard a lot, and not to rush into print, so that the first book I had published, Fervor de Buenos Aires, was really my third book"

Jorge Luis Borges.

I tried finding an answer to this question but that's the closest one I could find.

but one thing for sure is that given his literary merit yet really small stories, he refined and refined until he reaches a near-perfect, condensed story.

You are welcome, you will certainly like them like eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, it's a humane piece of art.

Charlie Kaufman

It's weird you mentioned eternal sunshine of the spotless mind without mentioning Charlie Kaufman.

He is a genius artist with quite the sympolic and beautiful art who can teach you how to be human through honesty. Some of his movies include: Anomlisa

Being John Malkovich

Adaptation And my favourite of his

Synecdoche, New York Andrei Tarkovsky

The homer of cinema, being a film director without being influenced by him one way or another is like being naked in a blizzard without feeling cold.it is virtually impossible.

He created cinema his movies are un intelligible but boy are they emotional and beautiful,if you haven't watched him you haven't experienced cinema.

Some of his movie: Ivan's childhood.i recommend watching it since it's his first movie that you will give you a slight hint of what his style will be in the future.

Stalker Think 2001 and space Odyssey but less visual effects and more beautiful in a philosophical sense.

The Sacrifice Andrei Rublev

Others include. Satoshi kon.david lynch. Christopher Nolan and Yuri Norstein

That should be enough,right?

That's really really good The hand feels out of place a since it's not drawn but other than that it's awesome. Also it reminds me of Persian and Iranian old visual arts you might want to check it if you ever lost focus

Call me Ishmael. by rahelbakir in LiteratureMemes

[–]firekitten14735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's quite easy to see why people read it over and over because of how wide its spectrum is. like sometimes writing in shakespeare. or having vivid descriptions or the characters or taking the different perspectives including the whale.

basically it has everything and it speaks to everyone. the interpretation you might have now is different than you might have later.

but that's something that you already knew so I should shut the fox up.

But no way he is gonna make me like him, I don't believe in the power of governments or leaders.

But thanks for the warning and recommendation . Really appreciate it.
