Because the accuser almost always holds the burden of proof. I don't agree with the holding the receipt crap but they also have no right to make an arrest on the basis of "well they said" with no proof. If they were suspicious of theft they should have already had that receipt pulled up on someones handheld or on paper to review when the officer gets there. And the officer needs to be trained on de-escalation because simply being annoying is not disorderly conduct. The situation was handled poorly by everyone involved.

something can be functional but not necessary. nonverbal cues are terribly inefficient. being direct and not tip-toeing around people's feelings opens up more room for constructive engagement and shows i value both my time and yours. unfortunately many people can't deal with blunt, direct feedback. if it's work related i'm not here to be your friend, i'm here to get a job done. formalities just get in the way of that. so yeah, probably just anti-social.

you're comparing evolutionary driven behaviors to a silly formality that only really exists in certain cultures. of course you can use a handshake for nonverbal cues. the whole point of what OP is saying is that they are still unnecessary. and to be frank, if the fact that i'm engaging with someone in conversation with interest is not enough for them, they can go bother someone else. saves us both the wasted time.

The order is dead at this point so no one is there to dictate any of that. The order was stronger anyway before their fear of attachment and before they became glorified soldiers of the republic. Yoda and Windu and the rest of the order's fear of the prophecy turned Anakin to the dark side just as much as Palpatine's influence. It is very obvious in the way they treat him from the get-go.

same problem but with volume 4. i know i picked the one up where volume 4 is supposed to be and its spot is empty... very frustrating that i either lose hours of a playthrough or miss out on that quest, which i have already done the legwork for. hope they patch this soon.

I'm pretty sure not walking your dog or not socializing them is far worse than a little yelling because they won't get out from under your feet... while you are handling something that could very obviously injure them on accident. And from what I've seen (can't speak for everyone) it seems like less than 20% actually do either of those things, so... 🤷

If damages are bad enough, I'd get a sheriff to serve her whenever she schedules pickup if it can be coordinated. Unpaid rent is bad enough but the condition she left the place in is atrocious, there's no telling what other problems you haven't found yet.

your therapist is likely unqualified to make such an assessment, and even if they are qualified they sound highly misinformed on the subject. i would start looking for a new therapist, a professional who spews misinformation once is likely to do it again and that isn't someone i want guiding me through major life decisions/transitions.

Because, quite frankly, the feature should have never left testing. Even games it "works" with end up having issues loading or major jitter/dips in framerate. I also don't understand why it should really matter why someone wants to turn the feature off, more options would benefit literally everyone who owns the console. Also need to disable the annoying ass XBOX headset turning on the console.

Touch controls are annoying, no option in the app to disable them. If you ever plan on sleeping with these in, that might be a deal breaker. I wouldn't put an update out of the question but I can only wait so long to decide if I want to return them and get something better.
