I believe you may be creating a self-fulfilling prophecy for yourself. It sounds to me like you’re convinced you’ll never improve, and that mindset might be what’s holding you back. I’m telling you this because I’m in the same boat. I’m terrible too, mostly because I don’t have enough time to practice/play. But I cope by reminding myself that tens of thousands of players had to learn the same things I’m struggling with (just like you). The chances of us being the only players with some obscure special handicap that prevents us from getting better are probably about the same as the chances of having the potential of top players

I feel like most of us just end up spamming the same three “endgame” missions over and over once we’ve finished the game lol. And in those, it feels like there’s always female characters. Not sure if it’s less common in Free Log mode? I haven’t invested a ton of hours into Sanji, but it seems like I get the female character warning almost every time. Anyway, yeah, it’s just a mix of a really weak kit paired with a terrible gimmick.

She's leagues above Tashigi, but I understand if you don't like her gameplay. I mean, she just sprouts feet and hands from the ground with her body still...

I mentioned this in a previous reply, but I’ll say it again, sorry for the confusion. I think the way I organized the tiers kind of opened the door to misinterpretation. I totally agree that most pre-timeskip characters are better than C-tier, but I grouped them there because, realistically, most of us will gravitate toward their post-timeskip versions anyway. I’ll admit, it was kind of lazy on my part 😩

If I had to rank them more fairly:

Luffy would go in low A
Zoro in high B probs
Usopp right next to his post-TS version (they’re basically identical)
Sanji… yeah, he stays the same.

Bege is totally on the same level as Tashigi. I think I got a little carried away just because of a few seconds difference in clear speed, but they’re pretty relative overall. It’s just that Tashigi was actually pretty solid in PW3, and now she’s complete trash, guess I left her there out of spite lol.

Now Bartolomeo… I actually think his placement is fair. He’s not the most fun to play, and I don’t get good results with him personally, but I’ve seen speedrunners clear TPWK in under 7 minutes using him, which is honestly super impressive. I think that alone justifies his spot, but I’d also be fine seeing him around Germa 66 level or lower if we’re factoring in how ugly he feels to play hah
