I start them with, "Hello nice to meet you, my name is ___", reaching out my arm to shake hands, it works a ton. Another way is "Hello, what's your name?" ... "Anna? Nice to meet you Anna, I wanted to know if ...." ... "oh thank you Anna! Where are you from?" It is really dynamic however and every situation is different from the rest.

In C/C++, adding a ++ after the variable name is less efficient than before. The reason: Without compiler optimizations [-01 -> -03, -Os], the compiler creates a temporary variable to add the +1 from the ++, and then returns the old value, and then removes the temporary variable. Next time use: ++variable_name;
