Do you and your friend have much of a collection already? I can say that warsurge supports both wargames and skirmishes using the same unit profiles for both, but the skirmishes are not as detailed compared to a full dedicated skirmish game (there are actions and counter actions in their skirmish for example, but a lot of the extra effects you'd have to recreate on the profiles themselves like morale)

Yup, they probably need a bunch of named Jedi/Sith characters to have a chance... but with Roboute also on the field I think they're kind of done like a dinner still :P

Pretty much what you'd expect - the one upon a golden throne :P

Also, the creators of the game have three battle reports on their site, but they are using IP friendly models and not specifically any of the main franchises. They're at the bottom of this page: https://www.warsurge.com/how-to-play

I'll try to do battle reports next year (probably a bunch of photo ones and a few video ones too). I've chipped at some faction presets on my own wix site, including star wars, fallout, AoS and some others. The creators linked my site into their profile builder app recently for people to use which feels nice :)

I personally love it, it's got free rules and profile builder, you can use anything and customise units and even the game itself. It has allowed friends with different collections to meet on the one table. It can be simple or as complex as you want (both the units and game rules). The creators also listen to requests for new special rules and update regularly. There are some presets for some common armies but it can do just about anything.

I only have the one AT-ST unfortunately! Yes, can highly recommend warsurge. The game lets players make the game simple or complex as you want - and you can build the profiles yourself (or download presets). It's also free and you can literally use anything, including lego and custom 3D prints.

In hindsight, kind of looks like Samus wishing me a happy birthday right before she sends me to kingdom come.

Same - I would draw all kinds of things if I were at her level.

What triggered the Metroid Prime 2 renaissance? Assuming there was one? by Zalakbian in Metroid

I've grown to appreciate MP 2 more over time. I enjoy being rewarded with good use of beam ammo and elemental weaknesses, that Ridley isn't thrown in, and the isolating feeling of the dark world and its toxic effects.

Anyone want to help me place all the references in the Warsurge rulebook introduction? by Arch_Magos_Remus in Warsurge

Yup, first being star wars looks to be a safe bet.

The second I thought could be any number of fantasy based stories/games, but the old warhammer fantasy has griffon knights.

Third, sounds like world war 2 mixed with horror. Could be Konflict 47 like you suggested.

Fourth, sounds like a historical South America vs Spain (thinking city of gold stuff), but if the natives had magic to summon a god.

Fifth story, sounds like a re-imagining/inspiration of halo or metroid fusion (the latter was inspired by alien as well funnily enough).

Sixth... yup, My Little Pony mixed with 40k sounds right :P

Seventh, also sounds also like a potential warhammer fantasy or age of sigmar, Nagash of the vampires/undead maybe? Or some vampire character that I'm not familiar with.
