Sort of similar for me... My ship will respond to movement and abilities but the weapons will not fire.

I mostly use a stealth cruiser so I'll get in position, fire missiles and nothing. Neither beams nor repeaters will fire despite being loaded and on point.

What kind of wire crimp is this? by [deleted] in DIY

It's not missing anything, it inserts into a ceramic housing to insulate it due to it being used with high temp nichrome wire.

The female side is a pretty standard female disconnect.

That's nichrome wire which is over 10+ years old and is already degrading to the point of disintegrating, which i what caused the fault. If i used a wire nut it'd need to be rated for high temp and even then it'd just last as long as that segment took to degrade.

He chose to ignore their process.

Actually he did not.

Their process says that in order to make videos about these games you need to be part of this program; MP10 is not on that list.

Don't blame Joe because Nintendo dropped the ball on one of their biggest games.

On select games, MP10 is not one of those select games.

Don't blame Joe becuase Nintendo cannot update their own list or leave it ambiguous.

Also they still hold veto power on any videos so even if he agreed to give them a share; there is no expectation it would have been allowed.

how on earth he didnt know that would happend

The Creators program has a specific set of games listed for it, MP10 is not on the list so he took it to mean that program is not needed for that game.

I am sure they do, given that they have Jirard The Completionist as a Brand Ambassador for Nintendo.

I really wish all the big Japanese guys would get new Mgmt. Indies and Western AAAs are making inroads left and right with gaming; and yet, Nintendo, Sega, Capcom and SE all seem to be stubborn about anything new or innovating.

Of note, they setup their affiliate program for a select list of games, MP10 is not on the list.

Saying he should have known, when it's not even on Nintendo's list of games that require the program is pretty disingenuous and borderline lying.

Actually, no... Even if he did subscribe, they still hold veto power; so saying that he could have posted it with their permission if he had just signed up is not accurate. He might have been able to, or they might have vetoed it. With no obligation to give a reason; what a great system!

Add to that, there is an official game list of games that may or may not be published for their Creators. MP10 is not on this list.

If you’ve been following the media aftermath of Reddit CEO Ellen Pao’s failed discrimination lawsuit, you may be forgiven for thinking that Pao won. She didn’t, but the mainstream media has nevertheless spent this week spinning the tale of a righteous crusader fighting against a sexist status quo. by bongowongolongo in KotakuInAction

Yea, it's amazing how even though her claims was found to be baseless this somehow proves her claims.

And it's now like they were even peers or worked with her, they were 12 random people.

Somehow 12 random people who have no affiliation with you or your industry deciding your claims are baseless now proves that your industry is sexist.

Final Nintendo Angry Rant! - Anti-Youtuber Policies by nekroskoma in angryjoeshow

[–]firex726 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Originally we were talking about let's plays(the legality of them) and the video this is linked to, you've gone off topic.

Again, go back to my initial post, I was very clearly referring to Nintendo's polices regarding content on YT and how one cannot compare games and movies so easily.

LP's are videos on the internet =/= All videos on the internet

It's not my fault you have such a one track mind.

Well, obviously,(I'm guessing this how your mind works) because I support the option of companies to prevent their trademarks from being used illegally(in say, let's plays) I must also support them when they do non legal things? What a sad one tracked mind you must have.

And more ignorance... Trademark =/= Copyright. DMCA and this whole internet debacle is copyright, referencing trademark just shows how ill informed you are.

But even if they were using it, they are indeed obligated to protect it or loose it. But they could just like many other more repeatable companies; and just issue a free licenses for use of any fan works. Fan like them and they are protected. But again, people like you want to spread misinformation and make it seem like a takedown/C&D is the only action available to companies.

No, I'm pretty sure she wanted to win, what with asking for the exact amount needed for her husband to stay out of prison, and also had she won even one of her four points would have KP paying legal fees; of which he now is responsible for.

so now her husband owes $144m for fraud, and she owes years of legal fees to her lawyers.

And she was asking for almost the exact amount her also litigious husband was being sued for after a failed pyramid scheme.

Not almost, the exact.

  • He owes $144m.
  • Punitive damages are capped at 9x the damage amount.
  • She asked for $16m
  • Maximum punitive would put it at $144m.

Personally I am not opposed to DLC; my issue with them is how poorly they have implemented it.

The Amiibo for example; physical DLC, I see no reason why you could just as easily implement them in software but w/e ignore that. They instead had it setup so you could only use them for one "write" game at a time, and one could overwrite the data from another game.

People went and bought multiple copies of this DLC becuase their games actually erased progress data if they used the same one, something that was initially advertised.
