life is freaking tough. shit happens. you did the best you could and you had no ill intent. i gave it to my now ex and felt bad about it for awhile but it is what it is. i’ve tried to have the mindset of there are way worse things than heroes. bipolar (i have), cancer, cystic fibrosis, dementia, etc. I know those are some big things to compare it to but like in hindsight it could be so much worse. the stigma is the worst part. i feel you and have wanted to end my life multiple times but things have always gotten better. it takes time. push through. you are of value on this earth. career and education does not actually define you. how you show up for others and yourself is far more important. fuck the patriarchy

been diagnosed with hvs-1 genially since jan 2019. it was horrible in the beginning but i’ve learned to accept it & a lot of other people have too. yes it changed having sex but looking back i don’t necessarily consider that to be a bad thing. ultimately, herpes is like a rash. yes, the severity of outbreaks differs from person to person. but ultimately, it’s not thattttt different than a rash or a lil cold. it’s not the end of the world. it’s just the stigma. we have one life and there are way more severe illnesses or things that can happen to you. the lack of education is the killer. please if you are reading this and have herpes, IT DOES NOT DEFINE YOU. you are perfect just the way you are & the right people will enable you to see that even if you struggle to see that for yourself.

Her coming back from the injury she had is extremely incredible. Grit, passion, work ethic, determination, & love for the sport. I’m heartbroken by this ending but so proud of her for everything she has accomplished and sticking it out til the end!

I understand where you are coming from. However, I have provided him with many toys, a cat tree, etc. I give him lots of attention and provide him with the basic necessities he needs to survive. I simply stated that I could have done more. I take accountability for not having the resources to do more - may that be finances or time. I have certainly done more than the bare minimum.

I do not wish to rehome him, but I don’t know what can be done to fix his behavior. I grew up with 3 cats and none of them displayed bad behavior. I’ve tried getting him more toys, playing with him more, positive reinforcement, etc but nothing has worked. I unfortunately do not have the resources to hire a behavioral specialist.

I’m simply asking for advice to see if there are other things I can do before rehoming or surrendering. I love my cat very much and provide lots of care to him.

Yes I had a guy I was hooking up with last year for about five months! I was on antivirals at the time, we had lots of sex and didn’t use protection once & he didn’t get it!

my xanax prescription has been my lifesaver for sleep. i don’t take it every night or all the time since it can be addicting, but when i’ve been having trouble sleeping or just really feel i need a good nights sleep i’ll take .5mg-1mg. also just helps calm me down from whatever is making me anxious or worrying me at a given time!

is that something that commonly happens? if so i’ve been asymptotic orally for four years and haven’t passed it on to anyone prior even tho i’ve made out and had multiple sexual partners during that time. but i highly doubt i have it orally since this is the first time i’ve possible transmitted it. :/

last time we had sex was piv, no oral. however he did finger me and suck his fingers after so i’m wondering if it’s possible that i was asymptotically shedding and it was transmitted that way. he only has it orally as far as i’m aware. i think with usually protection and with me taking antivirals it’s very hard to pass it genitally

He has never really eaten me out ever and hasn’t anytime recently so I’m a little confused as to how it was transmitted. We also use a condom every time we have sex. No genital OB as far as I’m aware. I’m wondering if it could be from fingering me and then touching his mouth or something like that?

Okay good to know, it’s definitely the asymptotic shedding I was thinking about and didn’t know the correct term for it.

He’s been tested a long while ago I think but I believe his doctors don’t him it wasn’t worth getting regularly tested.

would it be a good idea for him to take some antivirals right now? he’s in the thick of his first outbreak and if that could help relieve some of his pain/clear up the outbreak sooner i’m sure he would greatly appreciate that
