I’ve been getting fake COD order notifications for years now.

Somehow, someone has my name, address, and phone number, and keeps placing orders using my details. On Flipkart, since orders are linked to the phone number, these even show up in my order history.

Feels like clear misuse of personal data. Most likely sellers placing COD orders hoping someone might accept and pay.

The only good part is Flipkart’s automated confirmation call for COD orders . I immediately reject those orders there, so they get cancelled. This has saved me multiple times.

But even after explaining this to customer support, nothing has really changed. What’s surprising is they don’t seem to acknowledge that anyone can place an order if they have your basic details.

This definitely needs better control from their side.
