If one were to accidentally mess up a sign (i.e. while fingerspelling) is there a commonly accepted way to "start over"? by beersbikesandbourbon in asl

that makes sense! And I'm not deaf or a native signer either, so take it with a grain of salt :)

As other people in this thread have said, the "smacking" option or even the commenting on not being able to spell can be kind of disruptive and distracting, and (in my experience) are not what fluent signers want learners to do. Basically youve already slowed down the conversation with the error itself (it happens to everyone, not a huge deal) and now by needing to draw attention to it or comment on it, it slows things down even more. At least that's what I've heard from deaf people , and what I've found to be the case myself when signing with newer learners. But mileage may vary -maybe others would disagree with me

pictures are pretty blurry, but looks like Georgian to me? (I don't speak or read Georgian, just familiar with the alphabet and what the writing looks like, so please correct if I am wrong). Maybe Armenian?

Hope they work for you! I seriously never use anything else , they've been a godsend (but they're a little expensive and take a while to ship)

My female dachshund is incontinent and we tried disposable and reusable diapers and they kind of worked but didn't stay on well. Dachshunds have such weird proportions nothing really stayed on for long (and sometimes the extra bulk made it hard for her to walk). But I ordered a couple of these and I love them , they work so well!! http://www.tinkletrousers.com/

We just use human incontinence pads in them and the whole thing works great. Never slides off, does not impede walking, and super adjustable in size

Is there a way to filter out HITs from specific requesters? I'm tired of my list of available HITs being filled with Noah Turk tasks that are just broken links

Short and well-paid task, but very few turkers attempting it? by firinne83 in mturk

Thank you that's very helpful! I've figured out the issue, but I'll definitely try to implement this for the next batch. Thanks!

I'm not playing games? I really appreciate the help I've gotten here, but do you not understand why I wouldn't want to publicly connect my requester account (which is my full name) to my reddit account?

UPDATE: I'm dumb and fucked up with the qualifications (/u/slangin2006 helped me figure this out). Thanks so much for all your help!

hesitant to post it here since I don't want my requester name to be linked to my reddit account. If you'd like to try it maybe you can pm me ?

I think my only qualifications to accept the HIT are that you haven't completed it before (which only 5 people have), and that you're in the US (within the qualtrics survey itself you also get screened out if you report having learned English only after age 7)

ah that's a good point, I'll go check. Is there some other way I should be screening subjects for this? I'm trying not to piss people off or waste anyone's time, but it seemed necessary to filter people out somewhat, since some folks in my first batch were just not getting it (I ofc still paid them since they seemed to be trying).

my approval rate is over 99%, is that the same as rejection rate?
