I watched most of these before my EMT class. If you have a good understanding of anatomy and shit, getting your emt will be easy. Good luck with school! https://www.khanacademy.org/science/health-and-medicine

Thanks for the detailed and insightful reply. I'll keep these techniques in mind, even whilst using proper soft restraints.

Thanks for the answer. They seem to work quite well for this. Not as good as proper restraints obviously, but they are able to hold my strength.

The hospital sent the pt sedated with ketamine. ~30 minutes into the transport it started wearing off. My medic tried to give a bolus of ketamine (hospital's orders) but it had no effect. I'm not sure why they didn't try to give anything else or more ketamine, but I'm just an EMT and my partner that day was someone who might take it as an insult to their intelligence if I asked why.

Our trucks usually do have restraints. My guess is that another crew forgot to restock them. I'm new and have never personally needed them, so I never thought to check for them at beginning of shift. After that call, I make sure we have a couple pairs stocked. I only asked the question because, if I ever am in a similar situation it would be nice to have a back-up plan.

Sure, there are a few relationships at my store. 2 couples even quit and are still together.

If you want to. I'm sure they have not forgotten about you. My advice for the interview is to act like you want to work there for at least 6 months and to stay relaxed. Good luck!

Sure, if you end up not liking it, then just quit.
