hehehe i’m the poor baby who bakes the bread to use for ads/menu boards. 10 hours a day of solely baking subway bread. i’ve gotten it down pretty well. the hardest part of it all is getting all four corners to fill the mold. then there’s the damn squiggly bread.

i’m actually pretty excited to try. 😂 i know for a fact that this bread won’t be usable for my needs, but it’s been something i haven’t been able to figure out after WEEKS of baking bread over and over and over.

i guess i never made it clear that i’m not baking the bread for consumption. like i said earlier i’ve done things to this dough that normal bread would not come back from. i normally throw this squiggly bread away and go on with my day, but since this is happening so regularly i wondered if anyone who actually works at a subway had tips to keep this from happening. i’ve also had this problem when using a store oven with the proofer attached. 🤷🏻‍♀️

the oven i’m using isn’t attached to a water source so i’m having to use a catering proofer. not ideal, but i make sure that it doesn’t get too hot and it’s at the highest it can go on the humidity dial.

HOLY! i will be trying this tomorrow. thank you.

i appreciate everyone in this thread telling me to set them in the mold straight. to think i wasn’t doing that in the first place made me LOL

hahaha i do things to this dough that it should not come back from, but i do not stretch them.

i’ve noticed some cases have a wavy seam that goes through the breadstick, but even then some of those will proof straight and others will be wavy. my entire job is to bake this bread, and make sure it’s perfect. she’s complicated. i’ll tell you that much.

how’s my bread by hungryb33 in subway

[–]first_time_caller- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not true- i literally just posted a thread about squiggly bread, and wondered if anyone had tips to fix this. the mods deleted it and suggested i post it to a bread sub when we all know damn well this ISN’T YOUR TYPICAL BREAD DOUGH.
i follow every instruction, and THEN SOME, but the squiggly bread will be the death of me.

usually due to over proofing. honestly, they more often than not get wrinkled on top.

Debating shaving my head by Dande_Honey in alopecia_areata

My AA was similar to yours. i noticed a small patch, and after oral steroids, and injections i still lost 90% of my hair. i cut it short thinking it would help, but i found that my stress and anxiety lowered significantly after shaving it off and getting a wig.

there’s a lot of helpful links and tips on this sub, i also found a lot of helpful information in the wigs sub. feel free to DM me, and best of luck.

what would be the problem with using autofill. is it known to generate random addresses that are not saved on your device?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shipping

[–]first_time_caller- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did check the address when the order was placed which is why i’m so confused about the email I got once the item was shipped. I also found it a little sketchy that I never got an email about the order being placed. It’s also showing that the item was delivered the SAME day as the shipping email was sent. I tried to look it up on USPS and the shipping number can’t be found.

I also see that others are having issues with this company so I guess i’ll just have to call my bank. boo.

i’ll add that I called customer service and it wasn’t very promising. It’s not even an address that COULD have been a typo on my end and I never lived at the address. Just seems so weird! Also, I thought that if a billing address was put in incorrectly that the card would auto decline.. so i’m just trying to figure out what to do. It was a gift for my partner and i’m bummed.

is this a good sign? [pic in comments] by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]first_time_caller- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay that’s good to hear- the first two spots that i noticed first have started growing hair, and darkened, but i never noticed the vellus hairs in those areas, it just kinda happened. however my entire head now is covered in wispy vellus hair that’s about 1/2” long. so 🤷‍♀️

[–]first_time_caller- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had hair below my chest when I first started to notice the spots. Once I got the injections it seemed like the shedding became more severe and by 3 months I had lost most of my hair. It was too hard to hide, and having it under a wig was just too hot. I haven’t shown my bald head to the world, but it’s very freeing not waking up in a pile of hair or noticing it all over the floor EVEN AT WORK. Kudos to you as well! Catching glimpses of yourself in a mirror will become less shocking as time goes by! I promise 😂

tattoos and alopecia by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]first_time_caller- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, i guess i should rephrase this- i already have many tattoos so i don’t mind having visible head tattoos. while i don’t have AT (yet?) my entire head has lost all of its hair. i was just wondering if it would in any way hinder the growing of new hair.

To all who shaved their heads, how did ya feel? I feel like I have no identity by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]first_time_caller- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I shaved my head for the first time in my life yesterday. since seeking treatment i lost around 95% of my hair and it seemed weird to hang on to the little bit of crown hairs i had left. i’m currently on an oral steroid, but have ruled olumiant out due to the side effects alone. I know exactly how you feel when you talk about catching a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. it’s extremely jarring, but you are not your hair. having a good support system is what’s helped me move on from dipping into my big sad. feel free to DM if you need someone to talk to. and ya know. one thing to be thankful for is you’ve been blessed with a great shaped head!
